What is it with....

I'm more interested in my AdultFriendFinder BLOG than the actual purpose of this site, i.e checking out other people here, basically making connections with potential contacts. Strange isn't it?

I switched off my profile after awhile of getting emails, invites, and winks (nono..not trying to sound arrogant here by suggesting popularity of any sorts) but quite the opposite. Shouldn't I be having my blog elswhere than here? Hahahah...that's what I've been thinking of doing, create a new, different blog, though it's here in AdultFriendFinder that sparked my interest in the first place, and having actually wrote something.
Oh well...enuff 'bout this blog shite.

Question. Has any of you regretted what you've done since joining AdultFriendFinder? Feel guilty, betrayed, exploited, deceived?

Hhhmm...you said what? Is signing up here in AdultFriendFinder, all part and package of being overtly exposed to such circumstances? The "you knew it was going to happen, you asked for it"syndrome?

Tell me.

What are the 'reasons' then, Mark? Based on a personal experience or merely an assumption, generalised notoriety?

I'm actually new to AdultFriendFinder, but I honestly don't expect to meet people in my area for no-strings-attached sex (the male to female ratio is ridiculous, and the predatory nature is a turn off), but I do enjoy reading the blogs of thoughtful, sexually liberated people on the other side of the world. But then again, as soon as I'm an exchange student, I'm going gold. Browsing the listings in Tokyo is a little like Christmas for me. I guess my Japanese lover gave me the yellow fever

I haven't had much luck here but I found that I actually enjoyed reading blogs. Sometimes I leave a comment if I feel like saying something, and that's how some of my friendships happened on this site.

Over the past half year or so of following their blogs, it's given me a different view of AdultFriendFinder.

I mean, you don't just read about sex in blogs (course, there's lots of it!) but some people just write about what's happening in their lives. It can be so touching, so moving, so uplifting. It's great that they share their stories.

I've come to know single mothers who raised mentally and physically challenged children, drug pushers and alcoholics who have quit their bad habits and are trying hard to make something of their lives, women who get beaten by their husbands/boyfriends ... there is so much out there. Once I followed their blogs and as I get to know them a little each day, I find that I feel their pain, I laugh at the funny things they do or say, I share my comments with them, I grow with them and I learn from them.

This interaction is what kept me on AdultFriendFinder. Now I don't give a shit if I don't get laid (still hoping, though!) but I enjoy the friendships and it's only through blogs that this is possible.

So if you say you're more interested in blogging than the actual purpose of this site, I can relate to that and I think there's nothing wrong with that.

Sorry bout the long comment - just my two cents worth!
