Belly Dances

I feel the butterflies
of Summer's heat
within me cooling
as it's night
revealing the stars
of my Future sights
echoing out
from his eyes
brings me again
to my sighs
as the butterflies flutter around
waiting patiently
for the golden renown
accented by pearls
the end to my curse

..funny how they were made with "time"
and are my birth stone..

made by moon and water...

she flutters around on butterflies wings of thought

If you've not seen Vim Vender's orignal version of the film Wings of Desire go rent it immediately. It might move slower that a fly drowning in butt molasses at the start but once that guardian angel (in falling from grace) begins to actively pursue his own dreams all the waiting becomes worth it.

I actually think that "frozen in time" effect is deliberate on Venders part though to show the difference in how the whole feeling of being alive transformed for that angel. And furtherly that these two states of mind represent the contrast between living within USSR enforced communism and the "freedom" of the west (and in even grander terms the freedom that genuine love can bring).

I've got to see it again myself as I've done so since the Berlin wall fell and it has a special significance to that now historic event which occurred since it was released.

And skip the remake starring Nicolas Cage and go for the genuine original version with German language and english subtitling. Peter Falk is somehow in it among that Duetchlandery reprising his former Columbo role and he contradictorially speaks his lines in English. An oddity that I found pleasing.

PS. do you move in mysterious ways?

it's alright, it's alright.......alright

it was around the time that song was released that I finally conceded that U2 may have some significance. It remains the only U2 disc I ever bought.

They certainly did survive both the 80s and the 90s. There are absolutely no bands left from the original new wave era that can honestly say that. Elvis Costello is about the only one who sort of stuck around in that regard without ever comletely fading from the public's eye.
