This Sucks...

Well I certainly did it this time. To let you know, I am incredibly clumsy and am prone to the weirdest things happening to me and this day is no exception.
I had the day off work today and I decided to go down to the pond with my kayak( I will explain it so you can understand what the hell I'm talking about). I was doing my usual tricks of spins and rolls when I decided to go off the rock face for a little fun.. It's not very high around 20-25 feet high, not enough to do real damage right?
SO, I carried my kayak (it's a white-water kayak) anyway, I got in secured the skirt on me(a piece of nylon and plastic that keeps the water out of the inside) and I got no helmet just my Motley Cure hat, Remember safety first!
The rock face starts on a slope then drops off I have done it hundreds of times. I push myself off and I start going like a bat out of hell and all of a sudden...
It seemed like an episode of Jackass. I hit a sort of divot in the slope and I start to feel my ass-end start to rise and I know I'm going to flip. But instead of a smooth flip I got twisted around my waist/small back area. I was at the edge of going over the slope and into the dive. At this point I said to myself "Fuck it." and went for it. Have you ever fallen and time just seems to slow down, slow enough for you to think and have a conversation with yourself. that is no exception here. So I came crashing down still twisted head first into the water.
I flipped back over up right with a throbbing headache and backache and paddled to shore. When I got to the shore I was relieved that no one was there. my back still hurting I went to my truck loaded my kayak and started driving soaking wet. I drove to the local chiropractor (thank god he is open saturdays), he straightens me up all the time so he knows me and he just shook his head when he saw me.
Well to quicken up the story, he tells me when I got twisted, the bones in my spine that connect to my pelvis got snapped out of place hence the back pain. Not life threatening or serious damage done, he straps a brace on me and sends me on my way and pleads with me to take it easy.
So now I am here telling you another story of my stupidity so that all of us can have a laugh. And let me tell you I don't think I can take two more days of this brace. Hope you all did't have my luck today.
Take Care.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I slipped and landed right on my ass at work today. So it's not just you, and trust me, you haven't seen clumsy unless you've seen me. I'm a klutz everywhere except in bed, go figure.

Hey I kayak too, I have take an unexpected dip or two myself. The risk can be what makes things the most fun but with the risk comes the occational wipe outs. Chin up you'll feel better. Although I always go out with people so unfortunatly when I wipe out I have a crowd
