Honesty and Fortitude

I wasn't sure what to expect when I became a member of this site. Since then, I have come to new understandings and realizations. For one, how many fakes, flakes and frauds have inculcated themselves in our midst. I can understand why some may not want to get too personal because of their job. They may even worry for their reputation if they are part of a teaching staff or in the publics eye. Others might be afraid that their families or friends will "find them out" leaving them feeling embarrassed and even shamed. However, their is nothing more embarrassing or shameful then that of being manipulated and conned into a relationship because the parties involved aren't real - fictive - ghosts.

I guess you could say conning someone as such is like a one's character; jading their psyche rendering them no longer sensitive or empathetic to real human emotions, needs and desires. What worries me mostly is that the antagonized often become the antagonists at some point. Is this why some beg, cheat and lie in order to fulfill a basic need such as sex or the fulfillment of one's dreams and fantasies? perhaps.

So what do we do? Honesty and fortitude is more than "just something you should do", it's a paradigm.
