She Said....Age is Just a Number

After reading a post about how many years is too many years, I started thinking about how lucky I am. There are 14 years between my husband and I but I cannot imagine myself with anyone else. No one has ever made me as happy as him and I hope he could say the same about me.

I find it somewhat odd that my previous post was about how I would be 29 forever (with my 30th birthday a couple of weeks away) and now here I am going on about how age doesn't matter! But when it comes to our age difference, our age really doesn't matter. I often tease him (and have since we were dating and discovered this drastic age difference between us) that he is 7 years immature and I am 7 years on a maturity level, we're the same age

So after reading some comments on the other post about the generation gap, I'm finding myself wondering if we are a rarity. Are couples with our age difference few and far between or is this fairly common in this day and age? Anyone have an age difference that they want to share? And how has it impacted on the relationship as a whole (if at all)?

When I was in my 20's - I was attracted to "older" men - I was attracted to what I can only describe as "life experience" - there was just more to them. In my 30's - it was more or less an even field - we were on the same page life wise - so-to-speak.
Well as I approached 40 all of a sudden it was younger men - the men my age all seemed "old" and I didn't feel "old". That mind set is still firmly in place. My two best friends - male - are 37 and 29 - and I have sprinkled a few others here and there that fall between those ages. I have dated a few men in their mid to late 40's and one or two early 50's - I'm just happier w/the younger guys - and it's not all about looks - it's their energy level and the kind of things they are interested in and like to do - it's what works for me - I don't expect it's the norm.

I've always preferred older men myself....they're much more open and for turning the big're only as old as you feel...and I bet you "feel" great! *wink*
