OK, just how many people ARE watching?

We have this nifty-neato little guide on the right side of each blog that tells us that people who like this blog also like these other 10 blogs. What I want to know is:
1) How many people are watching

2) Do the percentages equal the percent of people
watching me who are also watching these other

3) Who's watching the watchers?

I'm confused myself as to what those percentages mean. The blogs listed in that column are usually the most popular ones, so I'd guess that the percentage refers to people who have viewed/responded to your blog and to that other blog listed. For example: If ten people have viewed/responded to your blog, and nine of those ten have visited another blog, then that would create a 90 percent match.
OK, I admit it, I have no idea...

I used to have some of the "2nd tier" (like myself) in my match list, but they're drifted off in the last couple weeks. Kinda liked seeing some of the blogs that aren't on the main page as my matches. Liked giving them some exposure.

It is interesting to see which blogs compare.

Actually, I don't think man4nooners1 gives himself enough credit. I think that is the formula. This is one way to know what other blogs your audience is watching.

So you can either calibrate to be more like them, or tune a different way to be more unique. That is if you care about ratings.

Just keep going. You have interesting stuff either way. As others say in the Land of Blog: Blog On!

Actually, I'm looking for a way to manipulate the ratings a bit. You finally showed up on the list again Rock @ 81%. Looks like a LOT of blogs link up to mine at 81% and it's a matter of luck who gets placed onto my match list. I'd rather have some control over that. Maybe another list where I can recommend blogs that I enjoy?
