Blah, Blah, Blah . . . Yada, Yada, Yada . . .

For the last couple of days, my mind has been stuck on wondering about words. Yeah, words! No, I don't lead a boring life at all! I have always been fascinated with language and the use of words. This is one reason why I have become addicted to the blogs. So, I think my next few (or more) posts are going to focus on words.

I begin with onomatopoeia. An onomatopoeia is a type of word that sounds like the thing it is describing. Words such as pow, crunch, tinkle, pop, kaboom, crash, clang, flush, sigh, bam, bling bling, click, cha-ching and kerplunk. Remember "snap, crackle and pop" or "pop . . . pop . . . fizz . . . fizz"?

Feel free to add any of your own!

Check out the online dictionary (google any word with the word dictionary, it will show up) - they have a thesaurus that will offer options to words so you don't feel like you are using the same word over & over again. Alternatively, you can use MS Word & it offers a limited thesaurus!
