Looking for a womans perspective.

I have been a single man for eight years after an 11 year marriage. Most of the women I have dated have been very genuine and really good people. However there have been several that seem to be more interested in my wallet than me. I'd like to get a womans perspective on the priority money plays in a relationship. Also can you give me any advice on what to look for within the first few dates that would be tell tale signs that she's "another one". I ask because I'm usually very trusting and always think the best of someone until proven other wise. I would appreciate any and all tidbits of wisdom you can bestow upon me.

Ok, here's the thing. You need to be asking other men this question because women aren't going to be giving up info like this. There is no "Golddigger's Rules for Golddigging" out there for us to refer to. Maybe you've just had a run of bad luck. Maybe, you're more sensitive to it when you think its about the wallet and it could be about something completely different. I don't know. But, I just don't think that even a golddigger would really admit (to you or to herself) that she's all about the benjamins and nothing else. I mean, last time I checked women who wanted nothing but money were called whores.

Frnds4play and SexyRycheBabe,

Thanks for your reply and insights. I agree with a lot that both of you said. Perhaps it has been a run of bad luck. One of them was a dead ringer as Frnds described, wanted to know all about the job, travel, family money ect. I guess looking back on it the signs were all there if I had been paying attension. To your comments Sexy, another that I dated for two months always expected me to pay, always wanted to go out to expensive restaraunts, and shopping but would never offer to pay for anything. She was very nice but very money minded. She's actually the reason I wrote the blog.
