Songs that made an impact

Did you ever have a song come completely out of the blue and leave you stunned, cause you to soul search, or even leave you in tears listening to it?

Share it, please.

Ah I did a blog on this a while ago, blast from the past, song is crazy for you by Madonna, puts me back to being 18 and dancing in a local disco bar with a major crush, tks for visiting mine xo
Ah yes, they don't write slow dance songs like they did. For me, it was Faithfully by Journey, the first GF and the first kiss .

For me, it has to be a three way tie, Roxette, Listen to Your Heart and It Must Have Been Love, and Joan Jett, Little Liar.

"she can't save him" by lisa brokop, powerful lyrics and video from 1995 . . . i was in love with a good man with the hideous diseases of alcoholism and addiction, and this song had me sobbing. the same day i heard the song and saw the video, he agreed to move into a half-way house and stayed clean and sober for 18 months that time. the story doesn't have a happy ending, but the song empowered me!
whew! i didn't expect to share something so personal . . .

Yep "All the way" by Celine Deon I know so cliche, but its a remake of an old Frank Sinatra song, very cool and so meaningful. I cried when I heard it. its my and my hubby's song.

I Want To Know What Love Is by Foreigner. Got me the first time, gets me every time since. It speaks from my soul.

I always loved this one, used to sing it for my last ex-gf back when I heard the call to pick up my guitar because she loved it too. Unfortunately, things went so bad with that one that it kind of spoiled the song for me and I havn't played it since. Thanks for sharing.
