Great Guns---

They can be your friend or scare the crap out of you.
Depending on how they are used, they can save your life, or take it.
A tool used by law enforcement, and a threat used by criminals, and a vital part of the defense of our nation.
Guns are everywhere, whether you love them, hate them, or don't give a crap either way, sooner or later one is going to cross your path.
Well, I happen to love them.
I love to look at them, collect them, clean them, customize, modify, repair, and build them.
And, most of all, I love to SHOOT THEM!
Shooting is one of the two best ways to relieve stress. (One guess as to what the other way is. ) Whether you shoot at a paper target, or go to the chat pile's and perforate old TV sets, the noise, the kick, and the destruction of your target is a rush. It doesn't have to be expensive. Lots of good guns sell for under a hundred bucks, and most ammo is cheap.
I'm lucky enough to live near Oklahoma, where there are lots of places to rent real MACHINE GUNS. Shooting one of those, you're gonna' get wood. It may be balsa, but it's wood.
And yes, the m1903a3 is a rifle. World war one vintage, commonly refered to as the Springfield rifle. Bolt action. 30-06. My dad owns one.
So, come on. Lets go out in the sticks and relieve some stress. One way or the other.

I shot a 6 point buck once. I won't be doing it again but at least I can say I tried!!! I'm all for guns in the right hands....it's people that shoot people, guns don't shoot themselves. Plus, I'm a HUGE Ted Nugent fan!

Me to on both deer and Ted. I'm a lousy hunter. Plus theirs too much siting and waiting and little if any shooting.

i saw a great bumper sticker.... "guns don't kill people, I DO!" i loved it

...That which does not kill me merely pisses me off!...

I used to hunt rabbit, squirrel and quail when I was a kid, but I got away from it. I'm more of a fisherman than a hunter now. Guns are not the problem. Stupid people and evil people are. In my hometown, a friend of mine accidentally shot his father, a physician, while deer hunting. It was a dumb mistake and resulted from lack of training and lack of respect for what can happen if you don't put safety first. Tragically, the brother of the son who shot his father was killed in a turkey hunting accident years later. A lot of pain in one family due to carelessness while hunting. It can happen so easily. Have fun hunting, BUT BE CAREFUL!

Thats why, when Kitty got her .38, the first thing we did was go to the range and get some professional instruction. She is now a better shot than me. Dang!

I have not shot a gun in almost a year....I always have to wait for good weather....I do not own my own but I plan to sometime within the next year...I am partial to a .22 Ruger...I alo want a derringer at some point so I can feel like a dame from the old west...I prolly will not get to shoot unless I do buy my own gun as I just got outta a relationship with my man and he was/is an avid collector...so I am left with two choices...buy my own or find another guy who has some cool guns to shoot....I am going to just go buy one though as I have little interest in men at the moment due to a broken heart...There are two guns I liked to shoot off though...one was a collectors muzzle loader...I loaded it myself with verbal directions...I shot it with no help and was thrown back onto my ass about 8 feet...I was 12 I think...the other one is much more current that was a Tech 9...that was so fun....I have not hunted since I was younger either but I would like to do so again sometime while I can still hold a rifle...

COOL!. Ruger makes very high quality guns, and the .22 is no exception. I did get to rent a gun like the Tech 9. It was an Ingrahm MAC 11 machine gun with a silencer. Almost as good as sex.
