The Whispers Have Been Answered

I dog gone done and done it.....I don't know if you've all noticed it or not. I think I've fallen in love. I'm consumed. Today was the most time we've spent together since we've been seeing each other again.....a whole 8 hours. And it seemed like minutes. He's not my type. I hate to commit. I like to flirt. I'm a country girl. He's a city boy. He sips wine, I down the beers. Yet I've never enjoyed being with someone so much. I'm sure others wouldn't see it. But it's how he treats me. How he makes me laugh. How he holds me. How he looks at me. How he caresses me. How we hear the angels in the heaven together. And it's not just sexual.......there's a connection. We talk about everything under the sun. Hopes, dreams, kids, world problems, our pasts, our hurts, our highs. I went into this relationship thinking I could keep my distance and have a good friendship. That I could spend some time with him and not love him like I loved him before. I'm thinking he loves me just as much as I love him, but I hope I'm not being a fool again. I hope I'm not blind. I notice subtle changes. We don't talk about them. Little things he's doing to try to regain my trust. Three years is a long time to be apart. We are rediscovering each other but have spent at least some time together every day. I haven't let him completely back into my life yet, he hasn't been to my house. My kids don't know I'm seeing him again. It's funny how I have no anger left and am just enjoying being with him. Time will tell........I hope I don't fall.

All I can say, is go for it.
Sounds good, so far.
If you get hurt, you get hurt. No biggie. You've been there before.

No Biggie? Geesh, I cried for a day or two. Seriously, I'm pretty tough but it did hurt but I survived and moved on and enjoyed life. I have a few little things I'm watching for to see if things have truly changed.......and what can I say, it is fun so it can't be bad

Good luck - but remember he's an ex for a reason - just re examine what that reason is and make sure he's not going that way again.

Fingers crossed for you both.

You offer good advice about being an ex for a reason. I've had to re-examine that reason and decide if I'm prepared to live with it should it happen again. Thanks so much for your adice!!

Lustcurious, Love is blind, but you have seen him from the past. You know his idiosyncrasies, uniquenesses and know the pain from the past. Therefore, falling in love with him is not blind, but rather an informed choice. People grow and change and people stay the same. I wish you both wonderful times together in friendship and love.

Ahh, you are so sweet. I hope that he has changed and truly missed me as he says. His eyes tell me it's so...........

Be careful.

Trust your intuition.

I have been learning to trust my intuition. I've ignored it in the past. Thanks so much for the reminder.

WOW Lust,

How wonderful and how said it girl...communication is key to a great love story...keep listening with the ears and heart and the talk will come isn't the difference that matters but the similarities that will make it work.
