Two beers or not two beers???

I have a friend that is living with a guy she met online. She didn't know him all that well before she moved in with him, but now she's realizing he wasn't the "prince charming" she thought he was. Last Wednesday he told her he was going out for a couple of beers and hasn't been home since. He hasn't called her or any of his family!

Would you kick him to the curb? OR

Would you take him back, whenever he decides to come home? OR

Would you do something else???

I would really appreciate your imput here..

Thanks, Loveme

Sounds like he just disappeared. Hopefully nothing is wrong. I would talk to his family and get their feel on this. If he has done this before, I would take his belongings to his family's house and let them deal with him. I would go on with my life.

UPDATE: Forget to tell you, HE did call my friend's daughter Tuesday night drunk! But he still never called my friend.

From what I know, he's an alcoholic and he's on a drinking binge right now...

This is not the kind of baggage that she needs to be living with. And if she continues on with him.....she's just feeding his dependency! He obviously doesn't care about her or her well-being....but sadly, he doesn't care about his own either.

Do something else; like change the locks.

I don't know everything, but I do know if he does it once he will do it again and again. Is this the kind of life with him she wants?

She shouldn't be there if/when he stumbles home. Nothing she does or says will change his behavior, and it certainly won't change his binge drinking. For her own saftey, and sanity, she needs to get away. She must not, like so many others, listen to his excuses, explanations or promises, and return to that situation.

My ex was an alcy from generations back.
Someone generations back in her family had run a still in Kentucky.
None of them thought anything was wrong.
Relationships with alcoholics just dont work.
Sounds like it might be time for her to move on.
