Who's the April Fool Now?

Well, April Fool's Day has come and gone, as did the first day of Daylight Savings Time. I must admit, both were completely uneventful. No real pranks were pulled on the first, and most people where I work remembered to set their clocks ahead the extra hour, so on those aspects I don't really have any complaints. However, I have a complaint about DST in general. Why is it we are the only back assward country that uses this damn system?

The standard time system works for the rest of the world, why not us? Is it because we are overworked morons, as a sociatal whole, and don't have the guts to tell our bosses to get bent 'cause we would like to enjoy the weather too? After all, how many of your boss' are never at work during the summertime, 'cause they're out on the damn golf course?

I mean, I feel like we don't save much of anything through this little ritual. All we do is get frustrated as hell as we loose our minds and the time from our lives resetting all of our clocks and watches only to find out three months down the road that we missed one (usually the one on the stove or the VCR).

It's time we stand up and tell the organization the started this whole fiasco to shove it where the sun don't shine! and let us live a normal life and be on the same page as the rest of the world, I mean, after all, we still use the English measurement system. Isn't that odd-ball enough to make the rest of the world laugh at us?
