The only thing I pull are pee-pees. You've obviously pulled a brain muscle. I don't scheme and you don't make sense. I guess that makes us even.

Our Lady is Wounded April 26, 2006

I have a message for a little band who's a favorite here in Canada that I was kinda hopin my friends Ajay and Crash could direct them to.

After mailing the governa to arrange discussing a peaceful strategy toward the war on terrorism, I felt like
rewarding myself for a month's work by going to see a band called Our Lady Peace./SIZE] I really looked forward to seein this band cause I figured we were on the same page, and I wanted to feel someone else's vibes on optimism about peace.

Now I'm not the kinda guy that can just jump up and get all excited if I ain't feelin it in my heart. I've never owned an Our Lady Peace Album, but there have been times where I have heard their songs on the radio and had them hit me deep enough to bring this excitement out in me. I was hoping to experience this tonight at their concert at Save on Foods Arena.

I'm not denyin that they are a good band with a good message, nor that their hearts are behind what they do, but for reasons I will explain the show didn't turn out the way I hoped.
I sat in section K, just to the right of the stage near the front, wearin my Cincinnati Bengals Jacket. It took a bit for the music to build, and I felt a connection with the Band at times, and I was hopin that by the end of the show, we would all be on our feet screamin. But that didn't happen, and here's why.

At one point during the concert vocalist Raine Maida, began a hostile rant about George Bush and then ended the rant trying to sum up support for Canada. I personally did not think this was a very thought out strategy toward peace for a Band who's name is based on this pursuit. Brother, I can understand your rage, and alot of people in the world feel the way you do, but as someone in a position to influence so many, I ask that you reconsider stirring up Canadian hatred toward the American President. I have alot to say on the war in Iraq, and I'm not going to get into that right now, but try to understand how difficult this Man's job is. He is trying to create security not only for his nation, but for all nations. It is quite judgemental to assume that George Bush does not feel for the Iraqi people.

The Reality of the situation is that disciplinary measures are a necessary means of providing global security, and as the world's most powerful nation, the United Staes are obligated to fulfill this duty. Upon Iraq invading Kuwait, the United States not taking war measures is like a cop sitting and eating a bananna while two bullies beat your kid senseless. Suppose the United States did nothing when other countries attacked each other. What would the world be like then? I ask that you think of War as an instrument of peace, rather than an instrument of hate. I'm certain George Bush doesn't want to fight a war any more than you do. He consistently stresses that violence is his last measure, and speaks emphatically that he will use diplomacy whenever possible. However, you need to be aware that there are times when diplomacy is simply not effective. Don't forget, these are the people who toppled the countries largest skyscrapers. What would you do? Do you really think you see into it as much as he does? Like everyone else in this world, he has a job to do, and by stirring up negative emotions toward him, you are not making his peace efforts any easier. Try this. Instead of stirring up hatred toward the Americans, try stirring up understanding toward the Iraqis. Two Wrongs don't Make a right.

In honor to my friends to the south, I walked out of that concert, and what I want you to know more than anything is that I had every intention of walking back in. You know how you plan out one of those dramatic moments that just doesn't happen? It went something like this.

As I was walking out one of your song lyrics said something along the lines of don't stay mad at me, and I want you to know that I never had any intention of that. Instead I paced around the lobby area waiting for you to play, "Life is Waiting for you" or whatever it's called. Lines like, "It's all messed up, but we'll survive" have deep meaning to me. I was planning to run back into your show at the start of the final chorus and shoot a series of Sam Shazaam Gun gestures at ya until you smiled, and got what I was sayin.

Unfortunately, the concert ended without that song being played. Just toward the end of the show, I ran into my friend Spacemonkey and put my arm around his neck and said, "We're gonna do somethin in the name of world peace. When I told him that I would do the Sam Shazaam thing, I asked if he would join me at the end of the song with a chant: U.S.A U.S.A U.S.A. In my mind, I thought that if you caught on, and mustered up support toward the Chant, that it could have been a dramatic gesture toward peace. However, he said the concert had just ended. Still, we walked in together with our arms around each other's neck and began chanting U.S.A U.S.A. in front of thousands of people filing out of the Stadium. When everyone else started looking at us weirdlike, Killa lost his voice and walked out, but I kept chanting alone, hoping someone would support my defense of the Americans, but no one did. I chanted for a little bit, then held my middle stub up to yourstage and Yelled, "motherfuckers" I guess you could call that an act of War, but I hope that you can understand that it was in the interest of peace. Understand that about America.

If your song lyric says "Don't stay mad at me" or whatever, you don't have to worry, cause I'm not that kind of guy. Although, I like to use drama in my act, I ask you to look where my heart is. I just ask that you do the same, as your song lyric. Don't stay mad at me.

Okay, back up a few posts. Maybe I was being a little hasty in calling Ajay and Crash friends. Truth is, I've only spoke with them a couple times, but since they initially seemed supportive of what I am doing, I felt no guilt about being loose with the word friend.
I spoke with them a few moments ago and told them of my little declaration of War on Our Lady Peace. However, before I even got a chance to wrap up my explanation, the line became dead and they returned to the air telling a little story about the USA screwing us out of Billions or some crap.
Ajay and Crash are the Morning personalities for JAck FM, a station whose slogan is "playing what we want" and I guess that's what drew me in. While they may not have the freedom of speech that a person has on AdultFriendFinder, I've still always found them to be a funny and sharpwitted pair.
The Problem I have with Ajay and Crash, as far as any talking I do with them, is that they can be a little too quick with words for my conversational style. Some things take a little elaboration to get out properly, and they seem to want to just punch and roll. Of course, this is a necessary trait for a radio personality to have in some instances, and their skill at it probably has a lot to do with the stations success. Still, I work better by thinking things through, then trying to get the words out as fast as possible.
So all I have to say, and by no necessary means is this a declaration of War, but just to test these guys ability to think something through, I'm just gonna say... YO, JACK!!! YOU WANNA FUCK WITH THE FOX NETWORK???????
