a slice of heaven

that's what the summer has been.
pure joy. Buttttttt (_!_) we all know that summer can't last forever. That's where I'm at. Saying goodbye to summer. It's really tough for me. I'll start back my fall/winter routine and my hours will go through the roof. I'll keep my head down and won't be popping up all that much until the daffodils return.

The blog will be an unfortunate casualty of the new schedule. Posts might appear weekly not daily but hey- look at the bright side, the content might actually improve. okay- baby steps. lol

I find a sense of humor so sexy. I think you have to be able to laugh especially in sexual situations. It IS so darn funny. I mean just look at the faces people make when they come. God does inDEED have a sense of humor. I survived many a tough time using humor to deal with lifes' pitfalls. I can't think of anything as close to an orgasm as uncontrolled from the gut laughter.
You know what i'm talking about- the wonderful healing meditation of eye tearing, pants wetting belly laughter. Where you just calm down enough to catch your breath and you are laughing again so hard that your sides hurt and your face aches from smiling??........even WITHOUT pot.
To the ones responsible -you know who you are- for making me laugh this summer, thank you so much.
I thought I'd put a valuable service in this post by listing my 100 funniest movies of all times for when you need a good laugh. Then I thought well, that's only MY view. So i'll start it off. These are some of my faves. If you have a movie that caused you incontinent comic seizures, please post it. The list could someday save a life. (NURSE GET ME SPACEBALLS, STAT)

Don't fret that the Summer is nearing its end. We now enter the Autumn. This a season that is SO AWESOME that it was given two names!!! Take you're pick. It is a time that we start to crave the nourishment of life. We put on our most comfortable flannels and sweaters. Soup and pies and the heartiest of comfort foods are plentiful with the years harvest. Farm fields are golden and amber in the crisp golden sun and beneath the sharp bright sky. The sound track is leaves crunching beneath our feet while the smell of wood smoke is all around. You can't tell me that you don't still love to carve a pumpkin!
Sportsman have their hunting, sports fans have the heart of the NFL season and baseball post season play.
It is the time of year that much of the animal world is engaged in their mating season. Spring and Fall turn all creatures toward the hunt for a mate. That magical air makes you all tingly and alive and ready to find the one to keep you warm during the cool nights of satisfying sleep.
My god this season makes one feel SO DAMN ALIVE. Or is just me? If this season gets you down, take a walk in the woods in October and then put in one of your comedies. Of course make sure you have a Lakefront pumpkin beer to wash down the soup.
Soon is when we endure seasons that make us REALLY appreciate our Spring and Summer months. Soon is when we have the opportunity to build our character.

As for gut busting movies...I have to say that the 90-year-old humor of Charlie Chaplin is still fantastic. Certainly not for everyone but still very poignant and intelligent. Great comedy that transcends time, if you don't need stuff blowing up every few minutes.

The happiest and liveliest of Autumn to you all!!
