Whatever happened to the quickie?!?

Why has sex become such a production? What has happened to the quickie? That lovely little thrill, hands fumbling, clothing pushed aside, in the closet hoping to God no one comes by, sharp little stab of excitement and joy that used to happen?

Even in my life, there isn't anything even remotely like a quickie anymore. Every sexual escapade is a lavish production number. Now, don't get me wrong....I am all for the lavish production numbers. But I miss the quickie. I miss coming home for lunch to soup, snadwhich and a nooner, then back to the office refreshed and invigorated. Is this akin to the passing of the horse and buggy with the invention of the automobile? Perhaps it's a victim of the sexual revolution...a casuality of our current state of sexual affairs that makes damn sure that everyone is completely and throughly satisfied.

Hogwash, I say....

Treat the quickie as an enticement...an appetizer of more exquisite dining to take place later. Perhaps the thrill is what you need to make the day more bearable. Going to work with your lover's perfume on you, still smiling and dreaming of what might come later is just the ticket to get you through those long afternoon meetings.

For God's sake, help revive the quickie....and soon!

I've been doing my part to hold down the fort here in Texas, but I think I need to call in for reinforcements...

are you kidding? getting a quickie would be nice. in a dark corner, just the heat and the passion and hope no one pays any attention. sorry to say, that might have gone by the way side...
