There is little virtue in marrying a virgin. That control and low sex drive that you revel in now will come back to bite you in the ass when the years roll on by and she or he is no longer interested in dalliance leaving you there wondering what truck hit you. Your weaknesses, flaws, and your own virtues will not be as valued by a virgin since he/she has no experience of others by which to judge their true worth and no personal understanding based upon his/her own mistakes and errors of judgement. There's no forgiveness to be had there. There's little joy in all of life either for when your eyes are set upon the hereafter you very often fail to see the good in the here and now. Since they also believe that sex in general is 'bad' they will also not be very enthusiatic about participating in it. So what is important to you? Getting what is essentially a child, or getting with a fully fledged woman who sees you clearly and loves you anyway?

"No bright-eyed, blushing, breathless baby-doll baby! No sir!
That kinda child ties knots no sailor ever knew....

I prefer to take a chance on a more adult romance.
No dewy young miss who keeps resisting,
All the time she keeps insisting!
No wide-eyed, wholesome innocent female! No sir!
Why, she's the fisherman, I'm the fish you see?--PLOP!

I flinch, I shy,
When the lass with the delicate air goes by.
I smile, I grin,
When the gal with a touch of sin walks in.
I hope, and I pray,
For a Hester to win just one more "A"!

The sadder-but-wiser girl's the girl for me.
The sadder-but-wiser girl for me!"

Kitz, I hope I was not too hard on the guy at A Little imput please..

I dislike doing virgins. Some guys think it's an ego trip, but not me. Sex with virgins is terrible sex. But the two I did like sex though. Introduced them to swinging and group sex. Ahhhh, college days.

And then of course there are the following elements of questionable merit:

(i) doesn't the want for the virgin reflect a possessive and macho attitude - as in: "I'm the first, so I am better, and now it's all mine"; and

(ii) isn't it also evidence of the belief that she mustn't do (have enjoyed and grown) what I take the liberty of doing (in order to learn) - sexism at its worst?

Quod licet Iovi non licet bovi - except that what applies in this case probably is the analogy to the bull, not the god of gods Jupiter (himself a character of questionable merit, of course - but the Romans just knew where the weaknesses lie).

While certainly indicative of machoism and sexism, the seeking out of virgins does indicate that he posesses the idea of 'women as property not persons'. In which case a blow-up doll would serve such a pitiful example of a male just as well.

And Rappa, one does not needs be a virgin to have 'dewy freshness' as any man who has witnessed a comely woman's exit from a shower can attest. Some of the wickedest women you know look like the sweetest of little kittens.

Yours is a most interesting assessment of the situation, kitz6. Have to admit that I agree with you. Of course, I had no interest in virgins back in high school. Never did understand the allure. But, hey, I'm not exactly immune from error, either.
