The curse of the mobile phone

Regular readers of my blog may have got the impression that I dislike foreign call centres. This is not the case.
Anyone that works in a call centre, inbound or outbound in any country deserves my full respect and sympathy.
Call centre staff work long hours for pretty poor pay and suffer stress and ill health as a result.

Today I had cause to hate my job......nearly every call was from someone on a mobile phone.
Call centre staff will all be familiar with the form.......
"Hello.....shhhhhhhhhhwhistlyecrackle....(Sounds of customer standing somewhere windy and noisy)....customer number 1~~????68!!?.......password blaghhhhhhjskjahsdha.....hissssss crackle...."

Two out of 80 calls were audiable. The rest were lost in static or simply lost in bad accents.
Every call took longer than it need have simply because I couldn't hear half of them properly. Very irritating. Customers blame the call centre operatives for their own stupidity when they decided to make a call whilst doing something else.

Don't ever give up searching for the fun in life.
