Silent running....anyone remember that movie?

when I was a kid I saw a movie about a guy who goes a bit mad and ends up adrift on a space ship with some robots for company.
A good film, from the 60's I think....low budget

At one point one of the robots is doing a repair to the outside of the ship when it gets knocked off by a meteor storm or something.
"That's what happens when you don't hold on!"

Makes me wonder why we're in 2006 and still noone has invented a robot to go doing repairs on roofs or up trees. Think of the number of roofers they could replace and the broken backs that might be prevented.
I'd have a repair robot stationned on every roof to keep them in good condition without having to call a roofer in.
At the very least I'd have one on my roof.
Second thoughts....if I made one of those in the garage, (British entrepreneur style), it'd probably develop a fault and fall on my head.

Don't ever give up searching for the fun in life.

Could you make a really cute quasi-female bisexual robot??...might be easier to convince my sweet Perky Tits to share...

Every series of that show is a total utter masterpiece.
My three favourtie episodes are the one where they visit waxworld, the one where they encounter earth where time is running backwards and the best one is the Hex virus episode with the glove pupet Mr Flibble
