HIV testing, fly tipping and other stories

I spent some time clearing rubbish that had been fly-tipped in the service road that runs behind my house. The residents have to do the work ourselves in order to reduce the risk of fires and preserve our homes.
This was during the summer.
Because the service road is used by drug addicts and prostitutes perhaps it was only a matter of time before I ended up spiking myself on a used needle. This was what happened and I have just taken a HIV 1/2 test.
Negative was the result.
I know the risk was quite low but it's all been very stressful.
If anyone suspects they my have been infected then my advice is to get tested. Better to know than not. Knowing may not bring peace of mind but if you are positive then you can do something towards damage limitation re lovers, family and other issues.

Don't ever give up searching for the fun in life.
