Bank holiday fun? and Desert Island Disks

OK so it's bank holiday time again. friday and monday off. This is good because I can catch up on the sleep I've missed whilst reading blogs on AdultFriendFinder.
Apart from that I've devised a punishing schedule of jobs to do before pay day. Lets face it if you're poorer than a church mouse like me, a mid-month bank holiday is no holiday. All the pubs and shops are open longer and I can't afford to go spending. Probably for the best though because I've rather let things slide in the past few weeks whilst I've been training at work.
See monday's post for some on the list.

OK, so to the second part of this blog. Desert Island Disks. If you were shipwrecked on a desert island, what would be your ten most favourite tracks that you would listen to on your mp3 player. Remember since you're stuck on a desert island you can't afford to use the player to play rubbish because the batteries might not last long.
If you were able to salvage a luxury from your boat as it went down, what would it be?

My top ten desert island disks are:

(1) Kate Bush-Aerial . This is strictly speaking not one track but several that sort of run into each other. The disk is part of a two disk album by the same name. The other disk has King of the Mountain etc, all of which are pretty standard Kate Bush stuff. Aerial however, takes me to another level.
(2) Nina Simone-an old recording of Nina singing "Feelin' Good". She lived to a ripe old age, but her voice did not retain the power. This track gives me shivers. Love it.
(3) PPK Resurection. Timeless trance.
(4) BK Revolution. Silly dance time but hey, its better than ZombieNation or rubbish like that.
(5) Massive Attack. Teardrop. This is really music on another level.
(6) Queen. Who wants to live forever? It's hard to pick the best Queen track because they were all good, even Fat Bottomed Girls....oh yes.
However this one has to get my vote because its suitable for any occasion.
(7) Grace- Be as one. I have an old and worn tape of this in my car. I think the artist was Grace but I can't be sure of the title. Anyhow, I saw the woman in concert at Warwick University once......pure magic.
( Dirty Vegas. Days Go By. Good video, sad song, pure and simple. Another one to dance to.
(9) Donna Summer. I feel love. EP version of course. Takes me right back to when I was very young.
(10) Pink Floyd. Wish You were here. As with Queen, there are just so many Floyd tracks that are just pure class, but this is my favourite. I first discovered it on an old tape and wore it out playing it every day on the way to work. I replaced it with the CD version.

OK, so to the luxury. If the solitary island life is to my tastes I'd have my faithful cast iron saucepan. It would be ok to use with a camp fire and some makeshift wooden spoons.
On the other hand I'm not sure I could stand being alone for any great length of time so I guess a better luxury would be a massive butt plug or some other sex toy. Lets face it the odds of being discovered increase when you're doing something private on a beach.

Don't ever give up searching for the fun in life.

Ooh good question...but what if you don't have an MP3 player in the first place?

Well this question was stolen from the BBC radio.4 program by the same name. Famous guests are asked to name their desert island disks and give the reasons why they like them. If you haven't got an MP3 player then it could be music in any format. They question is intended to force people to think about their favourite music and why.
