30 years of grime?

Well it's waaay past midnight and I'm sitting here procrastinating, putting off the nasty job of taking apart my old kitchen units.
They've been there for 30 years!!!! and I'm half afraid of what I'll find behind the nasty smelling one that the cats keep sniffing.
Still it will be worth it.
I plan to have a nice slate-effect tile floor and a simple butcher's block/prep table. Much better than cupboards I never use and the lingering smell of rotting chipboard.
Granted I don't eat much meat and I certainly don't ever feel the need to start cutting joints but the local Swedish DIY store has such a nice unit I just have to have one. They are sturdy enough to sit on which is always a mark of quality.

Don't ever give up searching for the fun in life.
