My Baby

Today i spent most of the day with my daughter. She is leaving to London shortly and i am really going to miss this little bird when she leaves the nest. I have had 2 leave the nest already but this one is going to be the hardest to let go of.God blessed me with 2 beautiful daughters and a very handsome son. Each one of them has been an absolute pleasure and delight for me.When i hear of the problems other people have with their children , i count mine as another of my blessings. It has been an absolute honour for me to raise these wonderful children and if i had the chance to do it all again , i would'nt change a thing.I am actually very proud of each and everyone of them and also giving myself a noddy bage at the same time. I raised them single handed and they all turned into fine young adults.

So while i am here i would like to thank the Lord for guiding me through parenting and also to thank him for choosing me to raise these fine children into wonderful adults.I ask the Lord to bless them on their journey through life from here on.

Thank you for taking the time to share these thoughts with me and may God bless you and your children as well. I wish you all with little one's the very best and hope your journey through parenthood will be as pleasant as mine was .... And as always ....BIG hugs and kisses x x x x x x

Ted I have 2 teens ... a son and a daughter. Raising kids these days are not easy. I'm very protective and sometimes think I might be overdoing it. I fear the day I'll have to let go and they'll always be my babies no matter how old they are! Let's face it whatever we do is for them.

I'm sure you did a good parenting job and they'll be just fine! One tends to always underestimate them, but ... they are far more streetwise than we think! They are a different generation and soo ready for this world. We worry about them and are always concerned for their wellbeing. The fact is that we are doing it from our generation's frame of reference ... but things have changed since we were kids and young adults. If you ever have the time ... Google "Generation Theory". It's very interesting and will explain a lot of things ... especially our behaviour as parents and the so called "generation gap".

But having said the above, it will never take away the fact that we are parents and we'll always be concerned for their wellbeing!

I'm sure your prayers will be heard and your babies will be just fine ... will you long for and miss them? ... Definitely! ... But that is one of the joys of being a parent because they are precious!

Take care!
