Do any of us REALLY have enough money? I'm not the gold digger type and never have been, but I do have moments where I wish I had enough money to pay the bills and not have to worry. I'm not talking winning the million dollar lottery here but having enough to be comfortable. For instance: How many of us dont visit the Dr when we're sick because we cant afford it? How many REALLY visit the dentist every 6 months like we're supposed to? How many of us have had to look our child in the eyes and see the hurt and dissapointment because we cant afford the expensive toy they'd like to have? How many of us have had the car break down, only to have to wait til payday to get it fixed..even if it gets fixed then?

These are all things that I'm sure just about all of us have faced at one time or another. I was just you live paycheck to paycheck too?

locke- Yep, medical bills do suck..but just think once you get out of school you could get a decent paying job and hopefully not have to worry.

when my son was born the social services in london were going to take him away because the place we lived in was condemned as unfit for human habitation - nice huh? Come a LONG way since then and made and spent a LOT of money over the years. Spent all my life working working working - at one stage had three jobs at once. Missed most of my kids growing up time as was obsessed with working to make enough money to look after themn as well as i could. Finally made enough to be debt free for first time in our lives then saved like crazy and were very comfortable, in some eyes rich. What happens then? Mrs gets cancer. Question now is, is what was more important to me - making money or having wife in perfect health? Which would I give up if had the choice? No contest. If was told I could make her 100% well again by moving back to that awful apartment - would be there in a heartbeat. money is only important to ensure good food on table, good roof over the head and good clothes on the back - after that it means damn all! Learned that lesson the HARD way.

hubby- As I've said in your blog before, its a damned if you do and damned if you dont situation. Many people are in the same boat as you as far as missing their children grow up. Sorry to hear about the Mrs having cancer. Many of us would give up everything to have a loved one well again. I know I would. After reading your reply, I feel rather guilty for writing this post. We should all be greatful for what we DO have. Thanks for your reply. *hugs to you and the Mrs.*
