A Question for Standard Member Bloggers

Do Standard Members have access to all of the features of the Blog Section here on AdultFriendFinder?

After 9 months of membership on this site, I have reached the conclusion that, as a dating site for single people, AdultFriendFinder does not work very well for men my age. This is due mostly to the fact that the male membership far exceeds the female membership. Besides, I have other outlets available to me for meeting women.

However, I have come to enjoy many other aspects of this site, the Blog Section in particular. So with my Gold Membership coming to an end in several days, I have been considering allowing it to lapse into a Standard Membership. I have already determined that I can do without the ability to read profiles. Although I will miss this ability, it is not essential to sticking around for the blogging. But I am not sure I would want to fore go the ability to use the smilicons, or to post icons and pictures in my blog postings and comments, or to view the icons and pictures on other people's blogs.

While I am reasonably certain that the answer to this question can be found here somewhere, I have not been able to locate it. Hence, I am posing this question here in the faint hope someone reading my blog may know the answer.

I thank you in advance for the help.

JR,

Standard members do not have access to many of the polls. Be advised that the rules vary for standard members depending on whether they are a couple, female, or a single male.

Thank you. I did not know they had different rules for different members.

I am a standard member, female. I have access to the polls, I can read profiles, I can send up to 10 emails a day. I can send flirts, put people on my hotlish, have a friends network, only they have to initiate it, I can't. I get my email. I can blog, leave comments, have my pic up, plus put a pic with my post.I don't think I have access to the smileys. It's good enough for me, I can't see spending the money for a silver or gold membership. Hope this has helped.you might try looking at your home page, or account page.

Hiya,

The blogging section is mostly available for everyone. As far as I know the poll feature is for everyone too.

They have just recently added some 'perkz' that are only for 'premium'(=paying) members, the most liked one being the 'respond' feature, the use of some of the smileys *but that's not new or just for the blogs, that goes everywhere* and gold members having the opportunity to add pictures to comments (that only gold and silver members so far can see).

Otherwise all formatting stuff and such is also available for standard members (at least as far as we know so far).

As far as e-mailing goes: standards who get a certain number of views to their profile (and yes, many F's get those, M's don't usually) they get the privilege of viewing 50 profiles including mail privileges (up to 10 day). As these are added, for most F's it seems this is a permanently available 'feature'.... but it isn't.

hope this helpz

Thank you. I will basically be staying for the blogging. Knowing that the "respond" and "picture" features are only available to premium members, I will have to consider extending my premium membership. I have become fond of those features, and am not sure I want to fore go them. You have been a great help (as have been the others who posted). I now feel that I can make this decision fully informed as to its impact on blogging.
