I'm smart as a horse and hung like Einstein....

...sigh....there are days and there are days.

Helped Son2 with his German homework last night. At the FormerMrs house. She helped make deposits, etc while I was in Houston. With her hubster in California, she's been reeeeaaaall nice. hmmm.

Worked until 0200 this morning and up at 0800. Already behind...I've got so much work to do...but I'm thankful for that. Some people have much less...Gina the Stripper Mortician called last night..she has to redo her Tx Alcohol Beverage Commission license by testing Thursday..can I pick her up at 10am? Sure. In South Austin? No problem. I've got a lot to do, but I can do that for you....

I head out in the Beast and it starts acting up..coil, injectors, something....knowing I've got 500 miles to drive today, I think it's best to rent a vehicle..I'm too far from the shop to get the truck..(I need to replace struts in the Beast anyway..) and head to the nearby RentacarPlace. All they have is a Dodge truck...that's cool..I've been looking at them anyway and considered buying one. Take care of he truck, motor the Beast to NTB for struts...and after 15 minutes of waiting in line and watching the counter guys knocking dickheads together, I ask the kid at the counter if Firestone does struts also.

"Thanks. Have a nice day." Love that great customer service.

I've got 20 minutes and 15 miles to drive to pick up Gina the Stripper Mortician..and still haven't looked at the six in North Austin. I motor south..park at the prearranged building..call Gina at 10am...no answer. 10:10. No answer. She calls at 10:18. Class got out early and she got a ride from someone else. She meant to call, but....hang up. DriveJimDrive.

So now I'm REALLY late. I haul Dodge up to North Austin, check out the six in town, haul Dodge to New Braunfels for a burnt BMW, fly to San Antonio (okay, this truck DOES move...and people tend to get the f*#k out of my way)..police report downtown..wrecked Jag in North SA..motor to Kerrville 60 miles west..police report..two cars..another in Bandera 30 miles south..haul bunions to Fredericksburg 60 miles north at dusk.

This truck ain't so bad....then I fill it up. Seventy Four dollars for twenty six gallons. Holy Shit. Three hundred and fifty five miles. Thirteen point five gallons per mile. Holy Shit. Keep my Chevy truck. Keep the Beast. No Dodge for me...(ok, in fairness..I DID keep the throttle wide open most of the day AND had the AC on). I've GOT to take time and shop for another car. The Beast2. It will be a Pontiac. Oh yes. Another cop-caller.

I tried calling several bloggers (...and you know who you arrrrrre...) with little success.

Get into the office. Blog. Tomorrow is another day.

Following day: it WAS a coil in the Beast. A $20 part and a snap decision. Cost $160 in rental and gas. Shit. Smart as a horse. Hung like Einstein.

Too bad!! My week has just gotten over and I really am glad it's Friday. I have had a tough week with family issues and personal ones.

Cost,160 dollars for gas and rental, your frustration over a Dodge, priceless

Jeeze, I read it all, but I was mainly still pissed off at miss "I forgot to call you" the whole way through. Grrr. The nerve of some folks...

No kidding....a simple phone call sometimes eases a hectic schedule. Just a little consideration goes a long way.
