Poor Hammer, it looks as though the saying "can't touch this" doesn't apply to him. My heart is filled with joy at the thought of this piece of shit repuke going to prison.

"Depends on what the meanin of "Is" is"..... seems a lil one sided here ...

not quite sure how the "other guys" led bi the likes of Pelosi, Read, Kerry, Dean, Kennedy (i mean jeeeez), Gore etc etc etc are qualified to put down or make fun of anyone on anything.

I agree the other guys are not great, but dont make fun of them, thats just "cheapshotting" .....offer "real" ALTERNATIVES. now, therin lies the key to the "other guys" failure to change it

LilSquirt, Thank you for reading and replying to my blog.

The reason I am "making fun" of Delay is quite simple. He deserves it. Tom Delay has been a huge prick. He is without a doubt, the most self absorbed hypocrite in the history of the house. The past weekend he has been saying that there is a war on Christianity. This is absolutely absurd. I am a Christian and can tell you Christianity is not threatened in America. This is an outright lie. Told by an outright liar.

I believe in innocent until proven guilty. But if he knows he is innocent why step down? I sure as hell wouldn't step down. I would fight to my death politically and otherwise.

As for Dean and Kerry, Kennedy and the rest, I can't speak for them. Nor do I know of any remarks where they are making fun of Delay. The only remarks I have heard are based upon allegations that have yet to be (but will) be proven in a court of law.

I have in the past offered up a solution to this Republican culture of corruption. Vote the fuckers out in November and begin impeachment proceedings. Period. This administration is the most corrupt in U.S. history. You can argue other administrations were corrupt and I would agree with you. But none, have been more corrupt then this one.

The biggest problem facing the Democratic party is that, as a party they have not been as united as the republicans. And quite frankly, if they don't get it together they (we) will not win elections.

America is in serious danger under republican leadership. Under this administration we have lost our rights. The Constitution has been , and our credibility has been destroyed. We have brought war on a country that truly was no threat to us. We have lead Iraq into a civil war. We have killed thousands and wounded thousands more. Financially only those top 1% in America have prospered and everyone below them has suffered. The deficit has ballooned.

Those are the real issues facing America. Issues like abortion, gay rights, immigration, religious persecution are not the issues threatening our national security. But if you follow the thinking of the corporate fascist republicans you would think they are the biggest threat to our freedom and security.

My only regret about Tom DeLay is that execution is not an option. A lying thief who shelters in religious protestations is the ultimate slime.

I couldn't agree more! This is one of the top things that fries me about the "religous right"! Bush, Delay, Rove and the rest are hypocrites.

Classic Bush (shaking head in amazment) As for DeLay...I am waiting it out.

It's probably smart to wait it out. How much power he will retain even out of office is questionable.

I think the cumulative effect of all the different scandals facing this administration is going to culminate into a great reduction of power among all republicans. As I stated in your post, I really think "The Hammer" is done.
