Good manners

Why is there such a lack of good manners in this world today. I was always taught from a young age to show respect good manners and politeness, my Mum always installed this in me right up to the day she died many years ago.

This morning in Tescos at the Tobacco counter a man in front just said to the girl working there,
"20 Benson's"
no please, she gave them to him he just threw a £10 note on the counter took his change and walked off, no please no thank you in fact no nothing. Why? Did he think being polite would make him less of a man?

Then i am walking up an aisle when the woman in front of me saw a friend, so they stopped and started chatting, they didn't stand to one side, oh no that would be to easy, they just stood with there trolleys right across the aisle.
I said excuse me, so i could get past and they both just stared at me for interrupting there conversation, she then begrudgingly moved her trolley and as i walked past i said sorry, which just got a scowl!

Everyday in all situations I come across people who seem incapable of being polite or just showing some common courtesy.

There is such a lack of respect in our society today where people seem to think the world owes them a favor.

This is a subjet i could write about for hours as it really does annoy me, but i wont as i don't want to bore you all with my little rant.

Its such a shame isnt it that there are many go about their daily activities in their own little ignorant world.

My pet hate is when you stood holding a door for someone & they walk in & say nothing to you. I want to shove them back out & slam the door in their face instead.

Or when people know youre behind them but dont hold the door for you, they let it shut so you look a moron trying to grapple with a closing door.

Well i wont be brought down to the floor scraping standards of others, i shall remain my polite smiley self.
