'Wifely Expectations' trial

Here's a case of the "Surrendered Wife" gone too far-- maybe too much dominance here.

From the Associated Press:

Defense begins in 'Wifely Expectations' trial
The defense began its case Thursday in the trial of a man who allegedly created a sexually explicit contract requiring his wife to fulfill his every desire.

Travis Frey, 33, of Council Bluffs, is charged with first-degree kidnapping and domestic abuse assault causing injury. He is accused of tying up his wife and sexually assaulting her in April 2005.

The defense began its case after the prosecution rested on Wednesday, and after a judge rejected a defense motion to dismiss the charges against Frey.

Defense attorney Bill McGinn argued that testimony from the woman and other witnesses could not be corroborated. The woman was not examined by a doctor after the alleged incident.

Frey's wife read from a document called the "Contract of Wifely Expectations," which she claimed her husband gave her.

Breaking down several times, the woman testified Wednesday that she had no idea that what her husband is accused of doing to her was against the law.

"I didn't want a divorce. I prayed for God to restore our marriage and bring us closer together," she said.

She testified that her marriage became "rocky" after she and her husband argued over finances in the fall of 2004.

The woman said Frey was unhappy about where she and their two daughters were attending church, and she said she became uncomfortable with his sexual demands.

"He said I didn't respect him during the day, and I made decisions without him, and he was going to be in control at night, and I wouldn't be able to stop him," she said.

The woman said she left home and filed for divorce in November when Frey gave her the contract, which contains rules for how she should dress and behave and requires that she be his "sex slave" and do "anything and everything" he wanted.

Unless she exhibited "good behavior" and was "totally compliant," the contract threatened "you will be tied to the bed and I will do whatever I wish to you."

Prosecutors said the case against Frey is one of and domestic abuse and has nothing to do with breach of contract.

During opening statements, McGinn said the case comes down to "he said-she said." The couple experimented with bondage, and Frey thought their sexual interaction was consensual the night his wife alleged the abuse occurred, McGinn said.

Assistant Pottawattamie County Attorney Shelly Sedlack said a computer expert found more than 99,000 pornographic images on Frey's home computer. Some were altered to include the woman's face, the prosecutor said.

McGinn said Frey's having pictures and a contract is not proof.

Frey also is charged with 40 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after authorities said images of child pornography were found on his home computer.
