Why do some find it hard to debate, w/o mudslinging and name calling? I will debate all day, for something I believe in. But the second you call me crazy for my belief, is the moment I get up, and push in my chair. Why is that persons view, the sane or correct one? There is a limited number of answers, and a few came to mind: Because they think only their opinion matters, and/or they are not smart enough to really address the issue, so they bash you instead!

Well my opinion is that those that are threatened tend to try and deminish the person rather than focus on the concept. I must say that I agree with your comment and can only say that those that speak of absolutes are absolutely limited in their scope, frame of reference and therefore world view.

Hope things are good for ya!

Thanks so much Doc, your words, in both areas, are greatly appreciated! Is it amazing how you get exactly what you need, exactly when you need it!

That is the truth Midmomusician! It is so important to remember the feelings and fears of others! We don't necessarily have to agree with them, in order to do this! I sometimes wish we could take knowledge such as this, and transplant it in those we care about!

Well put... many people can't seem to separate the person from the opinion.
