Still trying to process all that I saw and did during my recent vacation in Paris. As many of you already know, it was my first time flying and it went rather well. I got dizzy with changes in cabin pressure, but was rather proud that I did not toss my cookies or anything gross. The flight was uneventful and we landed safely at De Gaulle airport.

We were met at the airport by the tour company representative and loaded onto the bus for the hotel. Leaving the airport the first thing I saw was an IKEA store, had to chuckle at that one. I could have stayed in PA for that. Got to the hotel and of course it was too early to check in so we dropped our bags, and decided to take a bus tour of the city. I grabbed my camera and off we went. It was the beginning of my adventure. Saw all the major tourist attractions from the comfort of the bus. The Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc d'Triomphe etc etc. All very impressive. It is one thing to see them in photos and on tv, quite another to see them right in front of you.
The tour took about an hour and by that time we were ready to get back to the hotel and get settled in. By the time we settled in and cleaned up it was time to eat and off we went, up the Champs Elyses for a light dinner. So cool. Here I am in Paris France. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would ever happen....

more later....

I find that I can't really get a handle on all I saw and remember everything unless I have pictures. They always bring back the memories and the stories.
