Inquiring minds would like to know.......

It occurred to me this evening as I was looking forward to seeing one of my favorite TV shows, to ask my friends here what they normally watch on the idiot box, that is the TV. Not movies, but regular shows. The ones that you simply cannot miss from week to week. Are you into the reality shows that have become in my opinion overdone and boring. Or do you watch cartoons, keeping the inner child inside alive and well? What stations do you regularly watch?

Here are my choices/favorites, in no particular order... Rescue Me because Dennis Leary is just too frigging hot and I would do him in a minute (sorry to all my friends, but I am sure all of you have someone that you would love to do). Project Runway. Shows upcoming women's clothing designers, challenging them to create clothes out of virtually nothing at times. Not that I could ever afford designer clothes, but it is a lot of fun to watch. Nip/Tuck. Plastic surgeons/best friends that get into some wicked bad situations, from mob ties to fucking each others wives/partners. Most interesting and keeps one guessing. ER.. been watching this one since it first aired all those years ago. Love the stories, humor and all the characters. Most of it is pretty realistic, and gives a look at what life in an ER is like.

I also enjoy the shows on home decorating such as Trading Spaces. Got some great ideas to use as well as using things made for one use, for something completely different.

So how about you? What tv shows are your favorite and why? Do you have a lot in common with me or are you my total opposite....

I like CSI, law & order ,history channel, discovery channel use to watch ER but not since Clonney left. I find real life ER shows to be very interesting,Like the one's on some of my higher channels. I have direct tv so the stations go f/3 to 999.You can always find something interesting to watch. To be totally honest here if I had an interesting partner in my life who I could spend quality time with I wouldn't give to licks about what I was watching as long as I was cuddled up next to her. I personally think Tv is a companion to a lot of lonely people. Our time could be better spent doing something w/a person instead of w/a box w/a picture on it.

Well, good luck on the job/apartment stuff while I'm commenting...

But, to the topic at hand. Denis Leary is definitely one of my favorite comedians, and Rescue Me is a fabulous show. Sometimes a taaad too real for me, but I try to catch it whenever I can. (It's on at crappy times for me to see it.) I'm torn because he'll be competing with Hugh Laurie from House (another one of my favorites on FOX/USA) for Best Dramatic Actor and they both deserve it.

The two shows that I don't miss when they're new are Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis on SciFi (like a true geek). Too bad SG-1 might be done this year. I also try to keep up with The 4400 and The Dead Zone on USA.

The closest thing to cartoons I watch are the new episodes of anime on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

I hate "reality" shows so I stay away from those. ER was cool for a while but I got bored with it after all the major actors started leaving. I never got into Nip/Tuck either.
