The 1,000,000,000 posting of Memorial Day thoughts

I haven't lost alot of people that I love, but I fear it. All my peeps are getting old now. I can't imagine a day without any of them. But every story has an ending. My grandpa was a WWII vet and managed to come back home to raise 6 children and have a pretty nice life.

Each memorial day, I go to the park and partake in the service and parade. Each year, when they read the list of the deceased, it gets longer. I recognize some of the oldest name in my towns history. Some of the men I went to school and graduated with. Some of them were parents of those kids. It amazes me how many families are of the military and how many generations it covers.

I would like to thank you veterans and current members of the service who fight for our freedom and protect it as well. I know your sacrifice is great and also that of your families. Whatever you're doing today, know that others are thinking of you and are grateful you are here. Party on people.
