Time to work on some resolutions...

Yeah, yeah, I know!! Resolutions are made to be broken... usually my only resolution is to not make any. 2006 just seems to hold so much promise though, so how could I not!

I've already implemented my first resolution, and that is to change my profile. I've thought long and hard about this change, but it's a necessary one. Under Ideal Person I have written the following:

I am no longer looking for that Ideal Someone. I've come to the conclusion that I'm lousy lover material, so will just stick to being friends. I remain here as I am fortunate to have many chat and blog friends, and it's for them alone that I remain, instead of quitting the site.

I have a mulitude of reasons for this change, which I don't really want to go into, but at the moment, it's the best course of action for me.

My second resolution is to carry on losing weight. I've lost 4 stones already, and for those of you who have never met me... it was totally necessary. Ideally I'm looking to lose another 3 - 4 stones. (For the metrically minded 1 stone = 6.35kg). TheQuietGuy2005 is the only friend so far to see me since the start of the weightloss, and he hasn't commented much on it, so I am not too sure what he thinks. I doubt I'm going to end up too skinny... I just want my curves to go in and out at the right places.

Third resolution... to meet as many of my blog and chat friends as possible! This will be starting off with a meet that has been arranged mid-February, and shortly after that is the Euro Bloggers Convention, being held on the last weekend of March, in The Netherlands. I am really looking forward to both events, and hoping that more opportunities will show themselves!

During the next few days, I will be thinking of a few more... what about you?

Love, hugs and kisses from ♥♥HH♥♥

Maybe TQG is like a lot of your other friends, Helga. Maybe he's just happy you have choosen him to be a part of your life, just as we are privileged to enjoy your friendship. While I haven't been as lucky as TQG (yet...February and March aren't that far off), I've always been happy with you just the way you are.

Hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year as well!!

Well .................... I never make any resolutions as I always break them, I cannot help it as it is just a bad habit I have, I always try to keep promises though, so Helga the one promise I would like to keep is the one we made about having a drink sometime together......

Happy New Year My friend!

Hey Helga... I dropped a stone or two also! They were kidney stones

Seriously though, your just as perfect now as you will be when you've reached your goal. I'd guess The Quiet Guy feels the same way... What ever makes you feel good makes him feel good. Stick with it or break that resolution, makes no nevermind to us cuz we still love ya!

Dear Sleek Helga....Q probably thought you were gorgeous before and felt it superfluous to comment upon your weight loss?

My resolution, after a sad Christmas, has already begun taking shape: to live each day to the fullest. For years I was surviving...then existing...with a few brief periods of living fully....well, now it's "balls to the wall" ... taking more risks and reaping potential greater rewards...plus continuing to make new friends all over the world, just as I am doing right now.

Smooches to you,
