Gotta love mobile technology!!

Okay, so I've not managed to find Mr Darcy yet, but I have managed to get my laptop working in the dales of Derbyshire. Admittedly, I have to be perched on the roof of my mother's pub, with my arm dangling out the window to get decent reception on my mobile, but hey, it's all for a good cause!

I've been exploring shops, looking for unusual wools, to add to my growing collection, and here's just hoping someone will buy the stuff!

It has been cold, wet and miserable here the past few days - perfect weather for wool-shopping, so I'm not complaining. And the dog has been getting his walks, so he's not complaining either!

Right, time to head off... see you all later!

Love, hugs and kisses from ♥♥HH♥♥

Well, for what it's worth it's been raining here too ... and I don't even have the excuse of going wool-shopping.

Still, I always said there had to be some advantage to living in a block that is directly connected to my place of work ... no soggy commutes for me

Oh, and a quick By The Way to Free: the only way you can get a baby scarf is by buying two adult scarves and putting them together on the off-chance they'll mate ... and I'm sure Helga can supply you with both of them

Helga ... do I get commission for this?

I hope to see some pictures of the showing if you feel like posting them after your SUCCESSFUL debut.

You could try the yellow pages
Come to think of it, Ms Austen's manuscripts must be quite yellow with age by now.

Are you knitting or felting the wool Helga? (wow-another wool fanatic-thought it was only me that did that)

helga_hansen replies on 9/2/2006 10:05 am:
I tend to knit, but also use another interesting technique in my scarf-making (it's a secret, and if I told you, I'd have to kill you ), and I love it. I'm having my website updated, so once it's done, I'll let you have the URL so you can have a snoop.

PS. Yes, Matlock Bath does still have their Illuminations - my mum lives over the hill from MB, close enough to view the lights, but far away enough not to have to listen to all the bikes as they roar through MB!!

P.S-don't fall off the stepping stones in Dovedale......enjoy your break. Does Matlock Bath still have Illuminations????

Now I want to know what the technique is.......are we talking crochet? nuno? tatting?.... oh heck-just tell me then shoot me.
Good luck with your exhibition by the way. I know its nerve wracking as I have exhibited and sold stuff myself.
The invite to your website would be great, please.
