All Growed Up

It ‘s strange how a lineage of events can lead to something so thought provoking you can only assume it’s fate. Yesterday I received a rather unsettling message from a blog fan of mine regarding my post on . I won’t go into details but it made me fear about potential psychos on this site doing enough in-depth research to figure out where I live.

At the same time I was giving my phone number to a new Adult Friend who wanted simply to meet for coffee. I was about to give my home number, but then remembered learning about how a certain website gave your address if you typed in the phone number (I won’t mention it here to protect potential victims).

So I typed my number in Google just to see where it appeared and I came upon my high school alumni page. Apparently at some point (obviously in a completely wasted state) I had sent in my personal information. I decided to check out other people from my class of 1995 and was blown away by the updates.

Our ten year reunion was supposed to be this year. I was not planning on going…and not just because of the distance. But for a few stand offs with the principal and other authority figures regarding student’s rights (as if high school students had them) and run ins with the editor of the school newspaper regarding censorship (I was a bit of a rebel) high school was pretty much 4 years of blah-dom for me. But it was interesting to see the updates on fellow classmates

C: The guy who use to insert a sexual innuendo into every comment is now married with 3 Girls!!!

A: the former captain of the cheerleading team has a “no comment” listed under her comments…knowing her, that alone is more juicy than anything she could have written

D: Turned out just as snooty as everyone thought he would. Yale, Duke, yadda, yadda, yadda

A: is a high school teacher…that’s a laugh. I hope his students are giving him as much hell as he gave teachers (and everyone else) in high school

T: First sentence was about her recent boob job…enough said.

There were many more but these were the most interesting. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years already…God I feel old. Maybe I should just get married and have kids like everyone else….

NAH! I’m having too much fucking fun!

P.S. I wonder what people would think if the high school hell raiser pointed out that she was a member of the World’s Largest Adult Sex and Swingers Site. Imagine the gossip!

P.P.S: AdultFriendFinder in their continually baffling censorship policy has ambiguously prevented me from posting something once again (sigh!)

thats funny because everybody goes through that same thing, I did this summer when I went to my class reunion, and I was cool seeing some folks there, seeing how some turned out but I was bored. I would have rather been at home with friends drinking beer then doing that again!!!!! By the way, Class of 1995 rules!!!!!..

I graduated back in 2000, so I still have 5 years to go before my 10 year reunion. I think what I've experienced in 5 years since high school already makes me feel like an old person, but to each his own right. But yeah, giving your number is very risky I agree with, which is why I give my cell number out instead of a home number or work number. Cell numbers aren't really listed on the internet, not that I've seen anyways. But yeah, its wierd seeing updates about your friends and stuff. Be good.

My 10 year was 2 years ago (class of 1993) and I chose not to go either. There was a girl I knew who had a crush on me and chased me all the way through high school. It kind of freaked me out. Anyway, leading up to the reunion we found each other and started chatting. I don't even remember how. In the course of our chatting she revealed that she had come out of the closet and was openly lesbian. My red-blooded american male imagination started wandering and I started getting excited to meet her again...Then she sent me a pic and I swear I had no idea who she was! The person in the pic in no way, shape or form the girl I knew all those years ago. Not even close.

I stopped chatting and never went to the reunion. I was to freaked out. To this day I don't think it was the same person and I have to wonder who it was and how they seemed to know so much about me. I'm glad I never gave her my phone number or address.

Well Kermit, I was a Grad in 1989. Haven't been to any reunion but I have contact with one of my classmates. She was the best friend from my ex girlfriend. To hear what has become of the people I knew back then has me rolling on the floor.

To have someone from AdultFriendFinder trying to find your address, spooky.

It's been a while. It's been 4 and a half for me. I can imagine what it would be like, but it's not something that I am dwelling on at the moment. By the Frogger, you are right, how the hell can a sex site of all places have a censorship policy. Thats like saying that republicans look out for the general interest of the public.

anacortes: My pleasure

the1forthenight: I am surprised as well...especiailly since some of the things they censor make no sense whatsoever, compared to everything else on this site.

I'm right with you on the censorship thing. My high school wouldn't publish anything I wrote cause it was all to political (read we disagree with your opinions) so I started my own newspaper, which they immediately banned from campus. SO, I started selling it on the streets and eventually forced a corrupt public official out of office because of our reporting on his devious dealings and unconstitutional policies.

About being stalked; I frequently hear people (mostly women) talk about being stalked online. I suppose that if someone is derranged they could find out where you live, but if they're that messed up I have to question their capability to do something like use a computer. In reality you are in a LOT more danger from the stalkers you probably come nto contact with every day, the gas station attendant, the bank clerk, the CEO that cruises your local bar for nookie, the sales lady at the lengire store, etc.

Final note, I have said before and say it again, I have several adult domains that I host, if anyone wants to help develop a blog site WITHOUT censorship I'd be more than happy to host it for FREE, and never require you to PAY to hook up with others. Yeah, I'm a corporate communist, bohemian banker type, I just hate authority. I don't want to scare you but they mean to kill us all.

Authoritarians, they're the ones you really have to watch out for. If you think about it it's just a baby step from wanting to control what other people do to wanting to control what a single person does. That is the essence of most , they want to control what one woman does, not that they want to have sex.

With that cheery thought I think I'll just say, good luck at your reunion.

My 5-year reunion's supposed to be this year, but I doubt they'll do one, mostly because 5 years isn't enough for anyone in this podunk town to accomplish anything. However, there have been some changes.

The head cheerleader, who walked a thin line between party girl and good Christian, is now the hottest single mother I've ever seen. Her boyfriend at the time is a Marine from our class, who apparently nailed and bailed after he found out she was pregnant.

My best friend was a humongous rebel, and hated anyone who tried to press religion on him. Two years after graduation, he dropped out of college and became a Pentacostal.

Most are already married or parents. Few have any accomplishments to their name, or even a steady job, myself included. The most anyone has really done is leave town, which I haven't been able to do just yet.

There really wasn't that large of an array of personalities in high school. The rambunctious jocks all joined the military, all the nerds went to college, everyone in between went to community college or just got factory jobs. In a town where nothing ever changes, nothing has changed.

Hmm...did you go to high school in West Texas? That logo is awfully familiar. I guess lots of schools use them though.

At your reunion, what was your sense of what your classmates thought of you. Were you the hot AND smart girl, or were you a smart girl that blossomed after HS.

What do you think they thought (of you)?
