Today, I lost her.....

Today I lost my beautiful Momma Chua's, my precious cat. She had gotten to the point of not being able to eat or drink or move. But, today she went peacefully to kitty heaven. Yes, I did have her put to sleep, it was the only and last defining thing I could do for her. She was suffering and I refused to allow my Mommies to suffer anymore.

I am sure there are some who do not understand the connection to a pet....but Mommy was more than a pet...she was my friend, my best friend...she listened when no one was around, we shared corn chips together and watched Friends....she was my Momma's..........

Now she is able to frolick with the other kitties in heaven.......

I did not think this would hurt so much...rest in peace Momma's ....I love you...♥♥♥♥

Note: The pic attached is of her final resting place....under the big pine trees in our backyard....she will always be home!!!

I know how you feel. I had to have 2 put down in the same year a few years ago. Very sad but in the end I did what was best for them as you did for your Mommies. I very much understand the connection to animals, I call mine my other children Mac

Oh, I'm so sorry about your kitty. I love my two tomcats dearly so I understand the connection deeply.

She's free and at peace...and you'll never, ever lose that connection, sweetie.

Love to Louise from your Thelma,

BB3

I'm really sorry, but as you say....she's at peace now and no longer in pain......it can only be the right thing. My heart is with you.

I lost a stupid Beagle this last winter.
She'd eaten herself into congestive heart disease over the years- no, diets and care didn't stop her...she ate EVERYTHING... and the vet wanted to put her in hospital for observation or medication for possible treatment or put her down.
She wasn't in obvious pain so I brought her home and treated her more royally for several weeks until she passed quietly in her sleep.
I stayed with her most of the night until I dropped off in the wee hours to awake and find her cold and stiff.
Calling and gently shaking for some time didn't wake her and I had to accept the inevitable. She was so peaceful I had trouble carefully wrapping her for her final journey.
I'm sorry for your loss, Free.
Namaste.

I understand the connection to a pet & like you say they are your friend. To be honest i've had so many cats & dogs as pet's go up to heaven, that i used to look out the window when it was pouring with rain & just wonder...

Beautifully touching. Keep the happy memories and let go - it's natures way. Kisses
