My only post on 9/11.......and that is it!

We all know it is coming: Monday, September 11, 2006. 5 years since the devesatating incidentences in New York, D.C. and in a Pennsylvania field..... 5 years since Osama Bin Laden began his elusive run...5 years since so many lives were lost... 5 years since America stood proud...feeling almost as helpless as a newborn,...but proud nonetheless... 5 years since so many lives changed forever....

So, on Monday, the world has decided to remind me and everyone else of the happenings of that day. My question is this?

We still know and see almost on a daily basis what happened. We have went through missing family members who have been trucked over the world in the name of freedom and defense. Movies have been made, investigations have been done and the bastards responsible for this day are still breathing my air. Am I pissed about this? I annoyed by this? I supportive of what America is doing to rectify or vindicate this action?....extremely....

CNN has decided to show the news coverage as it had played out that fateful day. They will be airing the coverage as if it was happening again. I have a serious problem with this. As I said, we do not need to be reminded what happened. We've seen it, lived it, breathed it for months and now those months have turned into years. Will it all ever be gone? HELL NO! Do we want it gone?? I do not believe so...we want a reason to be pissed off enough to go and exact punishment on those responsible for this day. But, reliving that day on TV is not, in my opinion, a way to do such things.

funintheday2005 has asked for a day of silence on that day. I, for one, will definitely honor that. For those who have fought and died for this....but, I will also refrain from watching any TV that day....

I DO NOT NEED REMINDED what this bastard did to my country....and I do not need to be reminded how my country is handling it.....I live it every day.....

Just my opinion and I am sticking to it!

Besides the fact that Cable News stations are ratings whores. I think people need to be reminded about it. But reshowing the whole morning of what happened is a bit much unless its a documentary, like what they have been showing on National Geographic.

It's like when everyone started flying flags on their cars. I knew it wouldn't last long. It was just a fad. Why do I say that?

Look at movies for instance. Why do they always average out to about 2 hours? It has everything to do with the average persons attention span. Maybe this is not the best analogy, but you get my point.

I don't buy into all these conspiracy theories as well. There's only speculation on that.

I won't even start on the religious aspects about this. But everyday you see people killing each other in the name of it.

So probably being reminded about it is ok, because if we forget, there will be another 9/11. And probably worse than the last.

You have to understand the mindset of those who attacked us and pretty much wants us to be turned into a Taliban-like society.

It's been 5 years but seems like only yesterday,
It's been 5 years and still reminded in every way.

I can respect that, but out of pure respect to those families that lost loved ones, I will make one single post. I will watch TV that day simply because...

none of us will ever forget what happened that day...

I am convinced that our own government had something to do with it. If you look deeper into the facts, you will see why.

They say a woman ages like fine wine...

...mine ages like milk!

"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they
protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they
perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior Amen."
