F****** Rubber Neckers!

I was on my way to the store yesterday and there was a slight accident in front of me. A van had t-boned a taxi. Not a big deal actually......there was hardly a scratch on the taxi but EVERYONE and their brother had to stop to look! Which in turn caused an unnecassary traffic jam!

I look from time to time but my main objective is to get out of the way of the ambulance, fireworkers and police and to allow the injured or shaken to be taken care of properly...not gawk like a vulture circling its prey!

I say this in a sarcastic reason for this blog. I have noticed that when a blog title has any mention of death, hate, murder, back-stabbing, name-calling, finger-pointing, gossiping, abuse, and well... over-all demise and destruction of another human......we all come a runnin to have a look see!

WHY is that? Are our lives so boring and uneventful that when someone else is having a shitty day we want to read it to make our lives seem a bit better?

I am all about blogging, especially the blogs that one pours their heart and soul into...I adore the funny, sarcastic parodies, and I enjoy when the blogger puts their problems in the hands of suggestions...but when it comes to hurtful, humiliating things said about one to another...I am out! This is an adult site and act as adults is what it is here for..not this high school bullshit!

Is it just me or am I truly a cynical bitch today????

In UK we are thinking of putting tents round all accidents on motorways (similar to freeways ) to stop this rubbernecking

If they put tents up here, everyone will stop and think there's a "One Day Tent Sale".

I think they tried the inflatable barrier thing, and it really didn't seem to help at all. If it's a fatality crash, the State Patrol shuts down the whole freeway on the side where the accident occured, until they have completed a investigation.

Your not cynical. I see that all the time here on the Los Angeles freeways. Even though people won't admit it, they do have an insatiable curiosity for carnage.

I've had people literally stop right in front of me, on the freeway, when all that happened was a little fender-bender and both parties are pulled off to the side of the road.

Thats when I lay it on the horn and wake their ass up.

The sad part of this is, the world is full of morons, and still, people don't even give it a second thought about popping out more of them.
