Waiting for the Bus

After I got out of the army I worked as a telephone operator. I rode the bus to work, I had no driver's license and the tale of getting one quite another story.

It was a blustery winter day. I walked up our dead end street(now called no outlet). The wind whipped my face and cold snow blew all over me.

I stood in front of my elementary school waiting on the bus to deliver me near my job.

There were hardly any cars on our main street and visibility very poor this not so early morning.

I waited there until I felt so cold and wet, I walked home.

The newscaster said it was the worst blizzard ever.

Don't worry, be Happy

Yeah, they tend to cancel bus service during blizards. Probably a good thing you were relying on public transportation. They would have expected you to drive in had you had a car or a license.
