Just Beyond Sight

For the most part I have always known that there is a “power greater than ourselves” that dwells among us. An energy that can supercede above our lives and can direct events to it’s will, and only through it’s grace, to influence events in our lives.
There was a brief interlude during my teenage years in which I felt we walked alone. But, I don’t think it lasted long.
And even though I was aware of this deity, I was ALWAYS an open thinker. I felt ALL religions and beliefs had weight - and that as there are many roads into any city - I also felt there were many roads, or paths, that led to this other realm in which we would eventually pass into.
But, as time passes, knowledge through experience increases and I am no longer sure this to be an accurate conclusion. That I will leave for another conversation at another time and perhaps in another place.

The knowledge and understanding of this energy had never consumed my thoughts - it is just that the awareness was always there. And, along with this awareness came wonder and speculation of it’s reality and depth.

The past 3 years has been a time of increased growth that is unmatched in my years past - and, I know that a continual learning experience lies ahead in my future. If my recent experiences are any indication - the journey ahead should be one that shows me new and expanded avenues of reality. It will be an amazing adventure if I am able to hold close to it's teachings.

In my past years I have always been aware that there are rare coincidences - but more often interventions. And though not always - they are usually followed by a communication that was initiated from self.

Through all this time I accepted the reality - though it came with a percentage of doubt. There is always doubt when concepts are not actually tangible.

I think the seed in all of us is set from the very beginning. It is inert and a part of who we are. I do not believe there is such a person as an atheist. Only those who fight against their own fears. I guess it gives them a sense of power that is needed in their lives. A need to be self propelled without any outside influence. I ponder how much of this denial is germinated from other environmental conditions that have directed their thoughts, and how much may have stemmed from inherited personality references.

And again, I think most know the answer, but, it is almost incomprehensible and beyond understanding. As with anything that we have a limited ability to understand - we turn our backs on it. As humans we need to be able to touch it to believe it.

So, let us look at this from another perspective for just a moment. Stop and look at everything that is around you right now. The table or desk - the chair you sit in. The keyboard and monitor. How about just your hands and the skin that covers them.
How do they appear? They appear inanimate don’t they. Even the skin that covers your hands - though it is part of an animate object - it appears to be as a solid that stretches and bends with your own movement - but, at the same time it is only a cover on your body - just like the clothes you are wearing - flexing with movement - but not producing movement itself. More like a tree swaying in the wind than a man walking down the street who is self propelled.
But, we also know that this is only an illusion. The truth being that there is MUCH movement right before our very eyes as electrons circle protons, atoms interact and exchange electrons to form molecules, and the molecules are in constant motion according to a variences in temperature - etc. etc.
On a sub-atomic, atomic and molecular level everything is in constant motion.
This is a whole different dimension that we do not see - but, it is very much there.

I was watching a program the other day about Quantum Mechanics and The String Theory. It is amazing how deep it all goes - sub-atomic - almost beyond comprehension.
I was very intrigued with what I was watching. Within the confined limits of my own intellect or education I could almost grasp and understand the relationship they were drawing between The String Theory, Gravity, and Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. One of the concepts they were attempting to get across was that of other dimensions that lie just beyond our sight but, are there. Look out your window at an object in the distance. Even though you know the object has 3 dimensions to it - from a distance it appears to have only two. But, when we walk over and get closer to it we realize it actually has three. The same is true if we were able to shrink to a sub-atomic size - we would begin to see other dimensions that we were not previously aware of. Some scientists are theorizing there may be 10 or 11 different dimensions that we are not aware of, or cannot see.

Guess I’ve gotten way off track here - but - it all comes together.

There are realities and different dimensions that lie right before our very eyes - though we are not able to see them and comprehend them.
It is the same of the spiritual realm - we cannot see it - we cannot touch it - we struggle to understand it. But it is there - it is a part of us as we walk right in the middle of it.

If you earnestly (not passively) seek and ask in the same manner - answers start to unfold - It’s amazing.

Yeh, I know - I’m WAY over thinking all of this. But, I think not.

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for yet unseen I think is the verse. And your right about not seeing and not touching. Sometimes I wondered myself if God or a higher power hadn't been present at certain times in my life if I would still be here today. Good post.

Fort, what a wonderful post... I'm so glad to know you And what you are talking about is a subject that has to be embraced by faith, and I love what BBW said, but I am not sure all the concepts can be overthought... you have to know what you believe. J

I was reading on Steven Hawking's String Theory recently myself. Among other things it attempts to provide answers to some inconsistamncies to the theories that preceded it.

I find all that stuff most interesting and I'm glad I'm not the only one with a questioning mind..

Amazing - I know.
There is suggestion that these sub-atomic strings are much like rubber bands as they extend and pull. I couldn't help but to relate them with gravity and The Theory of Relativity as it correlates our galaxy in sectors of waves (much like a ripple in water that are not moving, but set in position). This is how Einstein attempted to explain the patterns the planets follow on their consistant circular travel. I think - or that is how I have interpreted it.
I get totally energized in thought as these theories are presented to me.
But, really not - I much prefer to talk with the next door lady who is busy concerning herself with the activities of the man three doors down

Touche' - I know that God's intervention has deverted my self-destruction on a number occasions.
But, I have turned from faith to knowledge - I no longer wonder, but now know.
Thank you for the visit and the comment, fort

I've often had this, in my past- to trust that which I dont see...to me faith & trust go hand in hand. I dont trust very easily, therefore the faith was guarded. The one thing I'm proud of learning is to trust myself, & the faith falls into place. Hope this makes sense....
Makes perfect sense - and it sounds like you have grown closer to God within your own self confidence. You are a lucky lady Looking - I think most people draw closer to Him through strife - only when they no longer trust themselves do they learn to trust in Him.

Thanks sweet J - Though there is MUCH that can be analyzed and philosophized - to just have faith and KNOW it exists is easier than trying to comprehend it.

Some are born knowing and seeing these other dimensions. They are often in psych wards. But I am convinced they 'get it' and have no words to explain the voices of these dimensions. These so called crazies have taught me many things, but this is one of them. We are locked into 3D reality and evolving towards more....
I don't think we are locked into it honni - I think we bare our own shackles. Perhaps that's were the "evolving towards more...." comes into play - when we are willing to accept different realities that are not necessarily tangible.
Thanks for the comment Professor - I am always interested in your concepts.

Though I'm familiar with the name - I'm not familiar with their music. Do suggest a particular song or album.
