MUST HAVE MY EMAIL!

You know, I am still the new kid on the block; I have not put nearly as much time and money into this site as some of you, but I have to say that I am getting aggravated with this sorry excuse for service.

In their defense, I realize they cater to 18.6 million users, and that is a HUGE network. I also realize that it must be no easy task maintain the network that supports the number of concurrent users we have.

But at the same time, if you assume only 5% of the users are paying members, if they paid $20 a month, that's roughly 18.6 million dollars a month.

I know these numbers mean nothing; they are based on pure conjecture. Regardless, my point is that these people are pulling in a boat load of money from some of us, but their service has declined in just the month I've been here: slow bog posting times, lost emails... slow picture approvals. I have two emails in my box that I am DYING to read, emails that I paid money for the privilege to send and receive them, and I can’t have them even though I can see they are there.

I'm trying to decide if there is a reason I am paying these ass clowns to screw up? If they worked for me and I saw they obviously were so nonchalant in regards to customer satisfaction; I'd fire them.

I hate to bitch, huny, and I cannot know how many people they employ. I don't know how much bandwidth they pay for, if they license their software or use in-house code... I don't know enough to make any solid guesses at all, but I'd still be willing to bet the profit margins are high enough that if folks on here saw how much money was going into some one's pocket instead of fixing issues with the site - well, I’ll bet a lot of people would quit paying. I'm not advocating a boycott. I'm sure that would get me kicked off for sure, and I like being here. I just wish they'd pull their thumbs out of their asses and fix some of the issues I run into every day. I am not trying to sway any one else's behavior, but I can say for myself that I am not paying another dime once this extension runs out unless they fix some of these problems. I'm talking about lag with blog posts and comments, lag and glitches in the email system, lag with profile/pic approval. They can't seem to make up their minds which rules get enforced or when, and some things they do don't seem to follow any rhyme or reason at all.

I have no information to support this theory, but I suspect the problem has been created by increased membership and/or increased activity by members coupled with unwillingness to dedicate sufficient funds to the equipment/personnel additions they need to handle the increased load in a timely manner.

I am not at all impressed with their notion of service, and if they want my cash next time, they'd better pluck their heads out of their asses and do something constructive before my due date comes up again, because the only thing my membership has gotten me so far is the ability to email people, but I don’t get that many emails anyway; they lose many of the ones I send, and I have problems accessing the few I do receive. I refuse to pay for continued incompetence.

Ever realize how some companies seem to flourish in spite of their lack of customer service. They don't care because they know that they have us hooked on a brand name or type of service. Fortunately for AdultFriendFinder there are not many people who can hook up in the same capacity or genre and so they have, in a sense, monopolized the service. [blog Harshawj] is attempting to offer a viable solution but is running into a snag (loss of source of some revenue for the time being).

If you do decide to leave AdultFriendFinder, or at least not pay for it anymore, at least forward those of us who care some contact info!!! I am going to attempt to do the same....

Part of the reason I have stayed are the friendships that I have made.

TxRose, I am sorry it took me a awhile to respond. I was trying to read my friends blogs, but the pages are loading so slowly (if at all) that it took some time. Then when I came here to comment, I couldn't get the damn verification number to display so I could know what to type into the window to submit my post.

I'm getting more pissed off by the minute, and it's a shame, because coming here is supposed to be a form of relaxation for me.

Friends are the only thing that keeps me coming back. If drop off of here next month, I will make arrangements to ensure those of you who care can find me elsewhere.

Usually if I enter my mailbox and everything is gone I just hit refresh and it all comes back, same thing with the anti-spam numbers. I seem to use refresh a lot on this site.

Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.
