Monday on a Wednesday?

Ye olde alarm goes off at 6:30 every morning. I usually am awake to catch it. This morning? At 7:00 my alarm finally tapped me on the shoulder with a "ahem - dude it's like seven!". I was a bit surprised. I am usually on auto pilot when it comes to risen & shinen. Well not today. It took me a bit to even remember it was Wednesday.

I do deserve the confusion today. I was up until 2:45 with realty lady. We wrote a counter offer at 11:30 and then went over to where I am staying to work her stiff neck loose.

I have this keen ability to patiently work on bubbles, knots and locked muscles. Don't know where I learned it really. Picked it up over the years. My x2b has a lot of muscular issues and after a bazillion years of working them I actually got pretty good at it. Did a bunch of reading on acupressure and have friends in the holistic genre of health care that have guided me some. So I guess I had guidance from many sources really.

Least I digress - again!

So after about an hour of finger fatiguing massaging she fell a sleep. Perfect I thought, Um where should I sleep? Hmmm. I read a book for a bit but got bored cuz I just finished the book a week ago and really took no interest in a second trip through. I turned the tv on for about five minutes and had no interest in that either. So I decided to cook. Here it is 1:45 in the morning and I am making a chicken, egg, vegi dish to take in my lunch today. I finished up, cleaned up, and thought, hmm I wonder if it's any good. Smells good. So I tried a bite, and a second and a.... Bottom line? I have no lunch today. On the upside, I'm not hungry yet either!

So as I'm washing my dish my bedroom door opens and out walks the realtor. (Keep in mind that she has been a friend for 15 years, but to see her walking out of my room half raggled, hair in all directions and a face full of sheet imprints just cracked me up. I had to cover my mouth as I was afraid of waking the neighbors with my laughter.)

"What are you laughing at!" she asks. "Um, you" I answered. "That's not very nice" she says. "Look in the mirror" I answer. She looks. She laughs too. "I look like shit!" she exclaims. "Yup," I said. That drew a few giggles.

So we put her back together and walked her to her car. Gave her a big hug for helping me find a home at such cock-eyed hours and watched her drive off.

So it's 2:45 in the olde am, my tummy is happy, my hands are tired, and I am pretty much wide awake. So I laid myself down and watched the fan blades turn for a while while I tried to count them. There are four. I was successful. I win! Finally went to bed at 4:00 with the thought that at this point I am probably better off just staying awake. I guess I knew better though.

So at 7:00 when my alarm tapped me on the shoulder and told me to get my gd butt up I was confused. I thought it was Monday and didn't quite know how to proceed with the day. I was up for a good chunk of time before I realized what day it really was. I even checked the paper to be sure.

Well slowly it all came back to me and off to work I went with the visions of the realtor and her Phylis Dillar hair punctuated by the sheet lines criss crossing her face. Just makes me giggle

oh yeah. The counter offer? It was very fair. We are just hoping he folds and takes what we can offer.. I guess time will tell on that front.

You sound like such a wonderfully fun, upbeat, happy person. My idea of meeting someone for the first time is also in a public place for coffee. I sure wish I lived closer to you.

Good luck with your counter offer.

Gawd, I don't think I'd be functioning this early had I pulled those kind of hours the night before. Years ago, maybe.

Sounds like an awesome evening with a good friend!
