Ring, Ring...Hello?

Remember the game of Telephone that most of us used to play when we were younger? The first person would start off by telling a truthful statement and then all the others would conform it into whatever they wanted to.

So if that first person started off by saying "I got a new toy from the toy store today", it would end up the last person saying "She asked the guy at the sex toy store to try it out on her before she bought it".

Ok well not that bad of a staement, but you catch my drift?

Well mine and Mr. Fire's life is one big game of Telephone. We both are so in love with each other. We both are happy with each other. And we both say that we would not have our lives any other way.

Last night one of my very close friends called me. She asked me how me and Mr. Fire were. I said "Fine, WHY?". She told me that her husband came home and told her that our marriage was failing.

Her response "I know what color underwear she wears on a daily basis! If her marriage was failing, I would know".

Now, we have had rumors spread about us before. But now it's pissing me off!

Who would say such things and more importantly WHY?

We are the most open and honest people you could ever meet. We welcome people into our home. We stick by our friends.

(What the fuck is this shit..?? *rolls eyes*)

Did her husband tell her where the information had come from? Truthfully, probably someone who wishes they had a relationship like yours! It would still make me furious though!

We've had the same thing happen to us, from time-to-time. Supposed friends have "confided" in one of us that, "I don't think you two are going to stay married," or "So-and-so told me that this...or so-and-so told me that."

I'd agree with what has already been said...jealousy of what you two have, is probably the root cause of the rumors being spread.

We take it with a grain of salt when someone comes out with saying anything bad about one or both of us. It appears that whether they are jealous...a "control" freak...trying to be manipulative with other's lives...or just stupid, they really don't understand what we are all about...who we really are, together...or how we are so much in love and happy together.

Unfortunately, those people...never will "see it"...because they've never had it.

If you let it enter your lives, they feel they've won. Don't let them...consider the source..!

I have to agree with all of the above ... sounds like someone made an assumption about the two of you that wasn't factually based ... sometimes it's a matter of someone who just isn't happy unless they're stirring up trouble somewhere ... I wouldn't waste another moment worrying about it ...

It could be just a statement that your close friends husband heard that got modified as it got passed along similar to the "Telephone Game". Or it was a product from an unhappy person that is jealous of what you and Mr. Fire have and they want to cause trouble. I wouldn't worry about it.

Weird at best. Makes one wonder.
Our version of telephone was just passing along what you heard. You weren't allowed to change it on purpose.
A friend of mine starts the game with strangers when he is waiting in a long line that isn't moving. Funny as shit.
