Rain Rain Go Away

It has been raining here for three days straight. It is so depressing.

Even with all the rain, my weekend was jam-packed.

We had my oldest son's birthday party on Saturday. His real birthday is the 30th. So we had a house full of kids and then the adults stayed late.

Yesterday we had a picnic. It was moved indoors and we all had a good time.

With all this going on, the atmosphere was just different with all the rain. I usually enjoy a little bit of rain, but this is ridiculous!

It has been the same here, Fire. Look on the bright side of things...it isn't snow.

Very true. Thanks for that.

think of it this way ...if it didn't rain ......really fat People would be wearing clothes so not appropriate for them in the heat.

I did have a few outdoor activities planned for this past that I had to cancel.

The word is that we are going to have an intense hurricane season.

And for pragmaticCTcpl's comment, for me the bright side would be snow.

I did hear that we would have an intense season, but so far just a lot of rain.

I'm with you. I've had enough of this rain and this cold. But if I'm going to be sick I guess it's better that I'm not waisting sunny days.
And these grey skies are depressing.
My weekend was filled with sleep. Glad someone was having fun.
Was it a theme party for the kids? What's popular now.

I am not sure as to what is in, but my son had an army themed party. We all wore camo. It was fun.

I know just what you mean. I dread winter here for that very reason. I once lived in Portland Oregon...and while it was beautiful.....I couldn't stand the grey skies and rain all the time. It just depresses me.

Too much rain is depressing. It just makes you feel so gloomy and not want to do anything.

For me, it could rain all night every night and as long as it stopped by dawn, it would be wonderful ... I love the way it sounds, the way it smells ... but I've had it with rainy weekends. I have my kids on the fourth weekend of every month and it's rained every one of those weekends since May. And although I have them during the week, we look forward to this weekend because it's when I get a chance to do something special with them. Last summer, I took them parasailing and it was the highlight of the summer ... this summer, no shore, no beach and a really "bad" American Idol concert ... don't think they'll be remembering that for long ...

I'm sure that your kids will remember anything they do with you. Years from now they are going to say "Mom, remember that really bad American Idol concert?" and you will all have a good laugh.

(What the fuck is this shit..?? *rolls eyes*)
