Office Politics

Everyone's favorite unicorn wrangler, loadeddice05, brought up an interesting point today. He was discussing office behavior from a male's perspective. He offered up this quote, "But fair ladies if you work in an office and are decent??? There is a group of dudes who have a bet on who can "get" ya first!!"

I happen to know for a fact that this is entirely true.

However, what men don't seem to realize is that women have had the same conversations, the same thoughts. The men in my department have been thoroughly discussed, ranked and categorized by several of my co-workers and myself. There are the ones that we have declared utterly doable, if they were to ever come on to us seriously. There are the ones that we crush on. The ones that we think are adorable, but could never picture ourselves doing. The young ones that we joke about showing the ropes to. Actually, my division has an inordinate amount of handsome men. I have one co-worker in particular, whom I adore, and she and I get downright dirty in some of our conversations! The worst part is when we are discussing someone rather explicitly and they walk up to us. We always burst out laughing, blush a little and immediately change the subject.

This goes all the way to the top, no less. These conversations have been had with very high-level directors. Never in front of the men, of course. Can't have EEO getting all up in our business, now can we?

So. While you think that we are entirely unaware of your conversations or thoughts? Rest assured that we are not. And, what goes on in our head is infinitely naughtier than what goes on in yours. Because we all know that us gals have a bit more imagination in that department than you boys...

P.S. I've been sitting here this entire time listening to Mickey Mouse and Goofy try to locate a big gooey redfish to feed to their kitty cat. Sigh... Why is it that my mind is always in the gutter? Do the writers of these shows do this on purpose? Or, am I just innately filthy?

You think you and your girlfriends have dirty minds. That is fine. You probably do. You may have dirtier minds than most men. But not all, I am sure.

I get so bored at home (and am a virgin), that I think about sex nearly every waking minute. I may also dream about it, but I never remember any of my dreams. I even think about sex while working, shopping, chatting, and of course, blogging.

You may be dirty. And it that means all kinds of strange sex acts, then yes you are. But, I am sure that I beat you by how often I think about sex. I cannot look at a photo of a pretty woman without wondering what she looks like naked. And if she is naked? Then, my mind opens up even more possibilities.

Hi Daisy

Not wishing to steal Shane's thunder or answer on his behalf, but: Challenge accepted!

Will have to get fantasising - which is not exactly a hardship...

Quality blog, by the way.
