I lurk because I care...

I decided that I had better post something new quickly, so that I don't leave you all with that poop story for too long. I know it must leave a terrible taste in your mouth. LOL!

I know it's vile and disgusting, and I hope no one lost a meal due to it. I figured it would serve one of two purposes for you all. 1) Highly effective birth control. Or, 2) The knowledge that at least you don't have my kids!!

So, that said, I felt as if I should address something briefly. (me? briefly? LOL!) I have a bit of a confession to make... Nothing earth-shattering, but I felt it needed to be said.

I am a lurker.

(Shock and awe!)

What is a lurker, you ask? I read blogs, I enjoy blogs, I laugh, cry, think, get turned on, get turned off, develop blog crushes and get bored by blogs, and I very rarely, if ever, leave a comment to the writer. I know. Bad manners. Inconsiderate. I realize that. But, most of the time, I just don't have anything profound or funny to say, that hasn't already been said. Once in a great while, I will actually post a comment, if I'm properly moved. Or, if I happen to be wearing my thinking cap and something just comes to me! However, the majority of the time, I read and run.

So, there. Now you know.

I'll say 10 Hail Mary's and I'll take two of these and call you in the morning.

I often don't bother commenting unless I've got something useful to say. And some blogs I'm sorry I clicked on in the first place and wish I could take it back..lol. But there's nothing wrong with lurking, and when you feel moved to add something, it makes it all the more important.

Reading others' posts is a good thing to do. It increases one's own awareness of the world, expands your mind and heart, and often causes you to use your brain. Though many posts are funny.

It is okay that you read and run. I do not visit that many blogs as of yet. I believe I will increase my reading tonight, or tomorrow. I almost always leave a good comment on the posts. Once in a while, I will come across a post that really means nothing to me, or that only makes me think of something negative. I do my best to hold off on the negative stuff, as that can destroy a relationship.

I have noticed that you never once visited my blog. I do not know why. I even invited you once. Many days ago, I changed my blog completely. I used to write about friends (that includes you, Daisy), my boring sexless life, and not much else. I have written many thank you notes to my more recent friends. Now, with my blog change, I am actually writing fantasy stuff. I also add a little about myself, or ideas that I like. But, now it is mostly fantasy.

Nothing wrong with lurking and just reading.

Somedays that's exactly what I do

Oooo...nice paradox, Daisy. I can leave the useless comment or not leave the useless comment. If I comment then I tell the world I'm an idiot. If I don't comment I'm either validating the subject of the post or I embarass myself. Decisions, decisions...

Blogging is writing and writing is art. There is nothing more painful for an artist than to be ignored, which can be taken to mean that I have failed to inspire a genuine emotion. Then again, I'm a lazy bastard and it's possible that many of the no comment viewers are driven to fits of uncontrollable laughter, passion, or whatever and are just too damned lazy to post a comment.
Excellent Blog.
