Summer storm

He whips her breasts (Jealously does)

Until strawberries burst into tears

all over the hills

Against curls of the wild sting

Inflicted by a green plastic ruler from the Zoo Shop

the animals poise

Expectantly like a washed-out excuse

From a pale past that mistakes getting

burned for warmth

Imagine how we treasure our pain

When cool pearls of the moment

hide in teardrops

Remember the near walk up Eagle Hill where

We touched as friends (holding back fear)

in tender reserve

And burned off our clothes of jealous fire

Letting each moment kiss and touch like ants

on a hot path
