When September Ends

I absolutely love this song. Love it. If you are a Green Day fan, this is a classic.

Anyone remember Brain Stew? Oh, but how Green Day has matured as a band.

I am a music nerd. I love all kinds of music. I think I'll start posting some about it, in addition to my usual stories and recounts. Whaddya think?

I wish I could say! As much as I love music I find I am always listening on the run. Most radio stations don't tell you anymore who the group is you just heard so it is a little harder to know what you even want to buy a cd of. I do put music on from our digital sat.TV and pipe it to our outside speakers where we usually spend our free time playing in the pool or hottub, we have a bar out there so we mix our drinks and let the fun begin. Quite often we play Reggae music because it reminds us of being on a Caribbean Island and adds to the party atmosphere. Anyway, what style of music do they play?

Green Day is a staple in the punk rock genre and have been for going on twenty years now. I've also noticed this about public radio stations. However, I have the luxury of XM radio and will never go back to public radio. All I have to do is push the seek button to get the artist name, song title, genre, etc...

My XM favorites:
1.) Top Twenty (Channel 20)
2.) XM Comedy (Channel 150)
3.) The City (Channel 67)
4.) Squizz (Channel 4
5.) Real Jazz (Channel 70)
6.) XM Pops (Channel 130)

Yeah I remember brain stew - it was the first Greenday song I heard way back when - it reminded me of the 70's, a kind of Bill & Ted meet the Buzzocks. Was it on the Dookie album?

I'm not sure how much they've developed as a band, think they've take their format and refined it, but tried not to stray too far from that original trip hammer rock.

I recently bought NME as they had a compliation album of classic punk put toghether by Billie Joe - its tops!

The sou nd has remained the simple, driving rock typical of Green Day. I think the lyrics have become smarter, though. No longer are they a teenage saga but a critique on the world.

I beliee Brain Stew was on Dookie.

LOL - I'd forgotten about Orgasm Addict - think it was 77

lyrics (you can delete this once you've read them)

well you tried it just for once found it all right for kicks.
but now you found out that it's a habit that sticks.
and you're an orgasm addict.
you're an orgasm addict.
sneaking in the back door with dirty magazines.
now your mother wants to know what all those stains on your jeans.
and you're an orgasm addict.
you're an orgasm addict.
uh huh, uh huh, uhhhhh, uhhhhh [x3]
you get in a heat, you get in a sulk.
but you still keep a beating your meat to pulp.
and you're an orgasm addict.
you're an orgasm addict.
you're a kid cassanova.
you're a no-josep it's a labour of love fucking yourself to death.
orgasm addict.
you're an orgasm addict.
uh huh, uhhhhh [x10] you're makin' out with school kids, winos and heads of state.
you even made it with the lady, who puts the little plastic bobins on the christmas cakes.
butchers' assistants and bellhops, you've had them all here and there.
children of god and their joy-strings, international women with no body hair.
oooh, so where they're askin' in an alley and your voice ain't steady.
if your sex mechanic's rough you're more than ready.
you're an orgasm addict.
you're an orgasm addict.
johnny want fuckie always and all ways.
he's got the energy, he will remain.
he's an orgasm addict.
he's an orgasm addict.
he's always at it.
he's always at it.
and he's an orgasm addict.
he's an orgasm addict

Please note that those lyrics do not necesarily represent the feelings and ideals of EnslavedNymph and her associated family.

Rather, they are our mantra.

I'll have to Limewire that song. Sounds fun
