That's fair, not AFfair!

Yesterday was the kick off to the Graham County Fair. The schools in Graham County have the day off on Friday so the kids can enjoy the event.

The school I teach at has even more of an advantage. Normally, our school days are Tuesday - Friday. For some reason the jr. high needed more hours so they had to go to school on Monday to be off on Friday. The high school just had a short week. Yesterday was a half day for our school, so we have four and a half glorious days off!

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE my job and will be there for many many years, but I love my time off too!

CuteAZguy27 posted your perfect job yesterday. His question was about perfect jobs and perfect pay.

Well, I have a job that I absolutely love and I can't imagine doing anything else. The pay is greater than any other job I have ever had, but it could be better.

I hear people say that teachers are unappreciated and underpaid. Underpaid? Yes! unappreciated? Not by all. During class change, there is a line of students who will make themselves late for class just to give me a hug. Students show me appreciation everyday. That alone helps make up for the lack of pay.

I agree with you 100%, Dusty.
Teaching is one of the most important jobs.
And I 've been blessed to have some of the most wonderful teachers in the world. I have become a better person because of them.

Sadly, a lot of them are no longer with us. But in my heart, they 'll stay forever.

toothysmile, most of my high school teachers were still teaching when I enrolled my son in school. I bet a lot of them are still there, I'll have to check the email list on the schools website.
